COVID-19: FG Approves N10 Billion Survival Fund For Transport Sector by fergie001(op): 4:18pm On Aug 26, 2020

The Hon. Min. of State @MinTransportNG, Sen. Gbemisola Saraki, has disclosed that FG has approved a ₦10 billion survival fund for transport workers and operators to help cushion the sufferings encountered by road transport workers and operators as a result of #COVID19 pandemic.

The HMoS made this known when the President, Public Transport Owners of Nigeria Association (PTONA), Engr. Isaac Uhunwagho, led the Association’s National Executive Committee and Trustees to pay her a courtesy call in Abuja recently.

She informed the delegation that the fund is domiciled with @TradeInvestNG adding that the Federal @MinTransportNG is currently working on the modalities for its disbursement.

Nawa o. The transport organisation have benefited mostly from this pandemic. They have successfully hiked the prices for transportation and still carry full passengers. So why is the government giving them aid again? What for exactly? Those who have suffered greatly from the pandemic are still suffering. I'm almost giving up on this country huh
