@ luvinhubby Well done.

Honda accord 2003 revs accompanied by a jerk before changing gear, happens mostly when moving from 2 to 3. It's a 4 plug, automatic and has been scanned severally with just 02 sensor error, both gear solenoid have been removed and serviced, still same issue. Please any ideas.
Change your Engine seat .

Hello house,

I changed my Honda Civic 03 gearbox last week, the Kazeem that changed it for me recommended and used Holt oil, which I'm not comfortable with.

I've decided to drain and change the oil now to a recommended transmission oil for the car, before I start driving or taking the car around.

1. Please what oil should I buy and use for the transmission? And if there is anyone that is selling, how much please?

2. For the engine oil as well, can I use Mobil super 2000 5w-30 the semi synthetic with black cover for the servicing?

3. How about the recommended oil seal to use?

4. For the transmission fluid, if I get the genuine one, I know I'll have to drain the previous Holt and pour the genuine one, I hope it won't have any issue on the transmission since I just fix it last week?

Thank you for your response! I'm a first time Honda user

Hello Sir.

Sadly, you should have asked before filling the transmission with Holts ATF.

Right now, the ideal thing to do is to uncouple the transmission and drain the Holts fluid completely before refilling with recommended ATF. That's one hell of a job, but might be better than having to buy a new transmission soon.

The Mobil semi-synthetic engine oil is okay.

Not sure you will readily find the OEM oil seals in our market, except you import. I suggest you contact Luvinghubby, who might be able to recommend a locally available alternative based on experience.

Cheers!

Thank you for your response, I'll go weekend to have the oil drain as you said and use the recommended oil for the transmission.

Once again thank you!

Good day house, I took my car to panel beater to change the exhaust net, when he fixed it, he didn't connect the cable that is attached to the catalyst, he said he met it detached and nowhere to connect it. Please what's the effect of not connecting it? Will it increases my fuel consumption? Thank you.

You may not even need that. Stop-leak could work but I don't know what kind of leak you have. We fix leaks with these all the time.

Log into the store to see details.

My Honda 2006 stopped blowing cold air. The fan still works tho.

What could be wrong?

Check if the compressor still picks or not(wire issues)

If it's still working then something is wrong as the AC doesn't just stop working like that

Maybe there is a leak or most likely a faulty component

Please help with a possible diagnosis. I drive a Honda Accord 2008. It vibrates slightly through the pedals to the steering at about 2000rpm & 40km/hr.
There isn’t any vibration before or after 40km/hr.
This just started about 2weeks ago.

Greetings House members, please I have a Honda Accord 08 v6 engine. I bought it as already registered (Nigerian used), I figured the engine was already tired only after I bought it from a nairalander. I decided to manage it till I save enough money to buy another engine in it.

Unfortunately, my girlfriend drove the car out, it overheated to the extent that the engine stopped by it and didn't start again.

By the time I was called and got to where the vehicle broke down the engine was already stuck and had to be towed.

The mechanic said the damage to the engine is quite extensive and I will have to purchase another half engine to fix it.

He is yet to give me a quote but I figured maybe I can get some useful information and advice from people here (most likely the experts) on the situation, way forward and the likely cost of procuring another engine half or full engine.

Thank you very much in advance for for your candid comments and advise.

OK, so any idea what that will cost and where one can get a trusted engine?

Is it also possible that that any other part of the vehicle could have been damaged asides the engine?
