For refrigerant not more than 5k, expect substandard cooling (typically cold at night but you sweat in the sun).

If pure r134a must be used, can't be less than 10k.

The main problem is availability. Most of the refrigerant in our market are impure, hence cool poorly.

I have some available, but usually for private use cos most people out there won't want to pay for such. But that's premium service cheesy... Pulling vacuum + charging cool

Can another CVT Oil be used apart from the Honda CVT oil for Honda CVT gears??.

Hello , I use a 2007 Honda accord Nd whenever I'm accelerating from gear 1 to gear 2,it jerks forward....but doesn't do same for other gears....what can I do to stop such.....

That's the same problem i had and it continued till some gears were no longer selecting properly and I eventually had to buy a new gearbox. I am not saying that is the problem with your car but your gearbox is worth checking.

Been following this thread for a while. I own an accord 2009 v6. Noticed the check engine was always on. Had it scanned and I realized the thermostat was removed. Got a new one after reading on this thread as to how important it is. Just want to say thank to all the real mechs here. Now my question is basically me trying to know how best to maintain the car all round. I have serviced it once since purchase which was 2 months ago. With total qwat 5000. The mechanics say the gear all is still good but isnt gaged. Any recommendations? And i want to know if it’s normal for the eco mode to go on and off depending on how im accelerating cause i read it online and i see people complaining as to how it affects their engine. I’ll like to be educated on how best to maintain the car

Car started leaking transmission fluid terribly, especially when engine is running hot, the mechanic said it's leaking from the torque converter and engine and gear needs to come down for him to fix..just want to know how delicate this exercise is and all

No Sir.

Normally, that automatically voids your Honda warranty anyday.

Understood.

Just trying to say that even Honda doesn't guarantee that your car will work well if you use other fluids apart from their recommended.

The reverse is also true.

Hi all,

I just got a Nigerian used (it was bought toks and barely one year in Naija. Sold as the person is relocating) Honda Accord 2008 2.4l and I want to perform preventive maintenance (last service was done in June/July) and some trivial repairs (at least for those that are visible to the naked eyes).

I would like suggestions on specialist workshops (preferably on the mainland) I can get this done and that’s also pocket friendly grin

Location is Gbagada, Lagos. Thanks

Hello Hondarians,

Please is it advisable to buy a Nigerian-used Honda Accord (2005-2007), for lack of much funds?

I heard they're too problematic for a first-time car user to own a Nigerian-used Honda accord.

Please share your thoughts?

Make sure you get a non abused one, if it is i4, you are good. Avoid the v6 of that particular honda.

If you dont know about cars, look for a qualified technician to carry out pre purchase inspection.
There are many things to look out for when buying a car especially nigeria used. Make sure you dont go with a kazeem.
