I meant their works are valued in dollars. They pay will Dollar at heart from the researches I made though. Imagine paying 8million VND to someone at the end of the month, if not for the rate of dollar being considered, they won't even pay half of that.

I have never been there before, so I. may not be right. You can give a better and right opinion on that.

8M VND is the rent for a 2 bedroom... Monthly rent!
8M VND is nothing, use currency converter.
Just clarifying... 8M VND shouldn't be your parameter!

Stay safe mate...

No he is not actually saying Vietnam isn't worth it, you made wrong calculation and he is trying to clarify it. 8million vnd is just $345 which is not a lot and definitely the cost of a 2 bedroom over there.

You can earn way more than 8million Vnd in Vietnam is what he is trying to say.

Hey guys, sorry I've been quiet.

My Centers are all back to business so it's back to being busy busy busy for me.

My heart wanders here once in a while but truth is, there is really nothing to update. Maybe soon, there will be

The number of cases and death is still increasing but not so much. Schools are back to normal including businesses.

There is a very high demand for teachers now and teachers are doing shakara sef. All these schools that offer $8 per hour are gradually seeing shege. But the truth remains that you'll also always see people who even in this time of plenty are willing to collect that sum

Also, it's not looking like the borders are opening soon. Let's see what happens come October/November.

Cheers

That's the one I won't mention before people activate calculator inside their head. Lol.

About the mail... I didn't see any and I'm also trying not to reply mails so this thread doesn't die.

Someday, the borders will be open and people will need all the info they can get. Even a question that seems "silly" to one person might be just what another is looking for

Thank you @WhyNa

All we are waiting for now is for Vietnam to open her boarders for international flight.

We pray for a drop down in the number of covid cases there and we pray that God protects you for us.

LMAO.

But it's not the first time I'm mentioning this na. I've told you guys what I earn per hour.

I also told you guys I've rejected jobs that offered $8-12

So when @Joohan said that, I had to make him dream bigger.

Again I advise, use this time wisely and start brushing up yourself. Yes I know there's no practice or experience like the main thing. I personally believe in learning by making mistakes but then try

Thanks for making me dream grin I pray I don't get dissapointed at the end. I already zeroed my that it's either Vietnam or nothing.

About brushing up, I've been in the teaching line for the past 6yrs(I have all teaching certs). I had to stop teaching business subjects and took up English language...Now, I'm I'm oral phase of the English language and it's been wonderful. Teaching in Nigeria is frustrating tho, coupled with the peanuts they pay.

First int’l commercial flights may be resumed since mid-September

VGP – The Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV) has worked out a plan to resume international flights on August 15, with all passengers to be quarantined for 14 days on arrival.

The first international flights will to Japan and the Republic of Korea with the frequency of four trips per week for each route, CAAV Director General Dinh Viet Thang told the Viet Nam News Agency on Monday.

Thang said Viet Nam has completed consultation about the flight resumption with the Japanese and Korean sides.

The Ministry of Transport will convene a meeting on September 1 with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to discuss the plan in detail, especially quarantine work.

Viet Nam halted all international commercial flights since April 1 in a bid to prevent importation of COVID-19. It is estimated that Vietnamese airlines will suffer a loss of US$4 billion this year.

The CAAV said five domestic airlines, namely Viet Nam Airlines, Vietjet, Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airways, and VASCO, only operated 16,400 flights between July 19 and August 18, down 45% from the same period last year.

In a bid to support the domestic carriers, the Viet Nam Aviation Business Association has called on the Government to offer the airlines credit worth over US$1 billion at preferential interest rates for three- to four-year terms.

In recent meeting on COVID-19 response, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc reaffirmed the Government’s resolve to pursue the dual goal of containing COVID-19 and restarting the economy heavily impacted by the pandemic.

Official data released by the General Statistics Office last weekend showed that inbound tourism shrank 66.6% whil trade with the rest of the world contracted 0.3% on year in January-August.
