Arrewa:
Governor Zulum Commission Nigerian University in Biu, Borno state and Construction of New Mega school soon to commence in Buratai Town.

The Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum Mni Fnse attended the Commissioning of New Office Complex Tukur Buratai Institute TBI For war and Peace in Buratai Town, Biu Local Government Area of Borno State. On 27th August 2020.

The Governor was accompanied by the Deputy Governor Alhaji Usman Umar Kadafur, Members Representing Biu and that of Shani at the State Assembly, and Honourable Commissioners for Agriculture, Education and that of local Government.

During the occasion Governor Zulum on his Speech said, "The government of Borno state Will build a Mega School here in Buratai with a view of providing convincing learning environment for students, I’m also giving a Directive with immediate effects to the Reconstruction of Abandoned Clinic of Buradai town".

And he consequently received award of excellence from the Nigeria Army.

What is the rationale behind naming a university after an allegedly compromised COAS whom the public has been calling for his sack.

in the past, institutions, edifices , streets are usually named after individuals when they left offices or died. Now individuals holding top positions in society are using instruments of state to name institutions etc after themselves while still holding offices.

Why does it seem like we're averse to seeing or promoting green culture in this part of the world?

I find it so irritating when I see edifices surrounded by nothing but concrete floors. Whatever happened to making walkways and parking lots with concrete, while allowing trees, lawns, and flowers to cover the rest of the surroundings of the edifices? This would not only enhance the quality of the air in the surroundings, it would also do great wonders to the aesthetic appeal of the structures.

Infrastructural development we all desire, yes, but it is also imperative that we did it in the right way.

Buratai was the mastermind behind it, he fought tooth and nail to stationed the University at Biu.

Nigerian Army museum was also brought by him it is also situated in Biu.

BTW today is the wedding of his daughter.

The insurgency is a scheme to draw a parallel between ND amnesty while advancing the core northern agenda of domination. They wipe out minority tribes and settlements to simulate insecurity while demanding development.
It is meant to make it look so much like the ND struggle.

Buratai knows this and he is hustling to be immortalized instead of doing what will earn him a genuine immortalization. He knows they struggle is simulated and isn't one to be won but exploited.

This whole insurgency thing is a big set up.

To start with, the insurgency began after Yar' Adua gave the greenlight to ND amnesty and has slowly metamorphosed from a religious right/secession struggle into one for poverty alleviation and development just like the ND own.

It is an attempt at further transferring ND wealth to developed the north.

It make no sense to reject the foundation of development - education, in exchange for the fruits of education - development. It is a big contradiction.
