If you are not comfortable with this, this is the best time to negotiate with govt. You have democracy which means opinions of citizens matter. So engage your govt officials. Negotiate with them on what you think is appropriate punishment. Don't just sit by your computer and typing your protest. So you have the chance now before this Bill is proposed. Once it is proposed and passed, none of you have right to complain again. That's medicine after death. So engage them now. Truly you need tough laws in nigeria. Many things are treated with kiddie gloves and this calls for concern. Many lives have been lost for no reason. All these advanced countries you see today used to apply harsh laws until thier people got sense; then they repealed those harsh laws. So until Nigerians think and act like humans you need serious laws to reset your brain.
