He might be smart at the time, but the clause is no longer valid. His only exit route is to find a way and discuss with the club. Being rebellious will only ruin his already shaking legacy at the club.

Who ever advised Messi to send that text or whatever of him leaving the club, has only done more harm than good "not to the club, but to Lionel messi" Now the fans are divided and if Messi leaves the club this season, Many fans of the club will not be happy with him.
