Honestly I'd love Upamecano as a signing.

The boy is fantastic with the ball at his feet. He can pass short and long, "drimbu" otu attackers and even control tempo with his game reading.

With his pace, he'd be an ideal partner for Maguire and when we're playing deep seating defences, we can compress the pitch with a high-line, use Upamecano to orchestrate play from deep and nest every man with a gun in his stride (Gloved assassin, Golden Boy, Black Ronaldo , Portuguese Magnifico, Pogboom and Donny the Vandal) in and around the box.

This would be huge for our build up play.

I've not seen any concrete link to Upamecano though undecided

I think another LB is more pressing than CB, there are options at CB.
if we manage to get a LCB that can play LB as well, then that's paradise.
Shaw hasn't done badly in a back three, so who knows?

At this point, I don’t want Fred to leave. He can play a very crucial role next season. After his performance earlier this year, he can’t be underestimated again.

Get Ndidi or Partey first and then sell Fred to Gala if they are interested. I don’t trust sell first and look for replacement later.
