Off the table for now. Perhaps we may still play them next year but right now, it's off. These ones were gotten b'cos of the November Qualifiers games coming up soon. We have a window we can utilise in October ahead of November. Don't imagine we return to competitive international football without a warm-up.

Meanwhile Samuel Chukwueze has been involved in more goals in preseason for Villarreal than any other player.

I think our super Robben-like Lad is primed for a great season of better numbers in terms of goals and assists under Unai Emery. Emery is surely in love with his #11.

Kelechi Nwakali will be in action again for Huesca on Friday vs Sabadell in another preseason friendly. Friendly was rescheduled from Sunday to Friday as they played Sociedad on Saturday.

Villarreal vs Huesca is gonna be the opening fixture for both in La Liga for 2020/21.

The full statement as released by @AmajuPinnick

Amaju Melvin Pinnick
6:51pm

Good afternoon.

As part of our commitment to transparency, probity and openness, I would like to brief Nigerians of events as they unfold in football development.

Firstly, a tragic note, as we lost the head of the ICT department, Mr. Tolulope Abe to complications arising from surgery.

May His soul rest in Peace.

We also conducted COVID-19 tests on all members of staff and four returned positive. While one has fully recovered and confirmed negative, others are in stable condition, receiving treatment with the full compliments of the NCDC....

Now. As we await the Federal Government's pronouncement on the resumption of football, the Federation has been in active discussions about possible friendly matches and I'm happy to say we have finally sealed two high profile matches for next month

On the 9th of October, the Super Eagles will play former African champions, Cote D'Ivoire in a friendly game, then face another African giant and former champions Tunisia, four days later, on the 13th.

Both games will be held in Austria for a few obvious reasons

Due to the COVID-19 protocols presently in place and the proximity of the bulk of our team as well, Austria was seen as an ideal venue. I'll have to stress as well, that ALL costs will be borne by the Football Federations of both Nigeria and Cote D'Ivoire, as well as Tunisia

On the vacant positions in Nigerian football, I'm hopeful that a Technical Director will be announced soon, as we are still having extensive consultations.

With regards to a Coach for the Super Falcons, Africa's biggest female football team, Phillips Consulting, in charge of the recruitment process, are putting finishing touches to it and a Coach will be announced soon. This also applies to Coaches for the different cadres of our National Teams.

I'd like to ask that you tarry with us a while.
On the home scene, we have been working diligently to develop the league and I'm happy to say the League Management Company has signed a massive deal with a reputable organisation that should see the clubs and the league get empowered.

Also, the vacant position of the Chief Executive Officer for the league has been filled and will be announced in the coming days.

A few days ago, top members of the NFF Executive Committee had a vrtual meeting with NIKE, our kit makers, with regards to the new kits for the 2022 World Cup and all I can say now is: Wow.

The new designs are truly beautiful and will thrill the world again. Sincerely I cannot wait to see our male and female teams adorn them.

Now, let me use this opportunity to thank the members of the NFF Executive Committee. They have not only become friends but they are now more than family to me. Collectively, we labour to improve the fortunes of football in Nigeria.

To members of the Congress, I'd like to say a hearty "Thank You" as well. They not only support the drive but the mission, vision and direction of the Board. I cannot thank them enough.

To the Ministry of Youth and Sport Development AND the honorable minister Mr. Sunday Dare; thank you, boss. Your direction is flawless.

To both Sport Committees in the National Assembly, we are indeed grateful for your guidance and immeasurable support.

I'd also like to thank the Federal Government of Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari. The support for our work, football and sports in general is truly wonderful.

To our sponsors; thank you. Without you, I truly wonder where we would be now.

AITEO in particular; I doff my hat.

Thank you...
COVID-19 is still with us and it us important that we follow all health protocols and advisories diligently. I would like to recognize the true heroes of this fight, our frontline workers; the doctors, nurses and health professionals.

Words cannot express my gratitude to you...
...Finally, I'd like to ask Nigerians to continue to keep faith in us. We are not perfect and we certainly have had a few missteps now and then but we always try to do our best. Criticize us because that's the only way we can get better but always support us. We definitely...
...on your support and never take it for granted.

The dream is to conquer Africa at the next Nations Cup and qualify for the World Cup in 2022.

I'm certain, with your support, we will get there.

Again, thank you for your time and prayers.

God bless us all.

Take am easy now. cheesy. I know you don't want to hear us complain about our overaged players. cheesy. But wait what makes this guy look middle aged? Perhaps you mistaken some deep racial features for being overaged. cheesy. Obviously this one dey very white. Perhaps an Albino. Scholes had some middle-age features when he was younger too. cheesy. But don't worry i'll do some investigashun on this. I have a vested interest in the matter.

It's because he's albino, that is why he looks old to Safari girl. Those white albinos don't usually age well. They tend to look older than their age as they grow

I don't think that's enough excuse.

Europe was the most hit by COVID.

Cases in Spain + Italy was much more than the whole of Africa.

Yet, it's Europe who are allowed to play. The rest confederations have to sit at home and watch Europe play football.

So not fair!

Of course it's not na but ba wetin dey ground

Your affirmation is what you want us to hinge assurance, validity and authenticity on?

Then if so, apply same for others as regards Nigerian lads. That's not much to ask for... No matter the permutations at play.

I expected a lot more objectivity from you but you have gone down the route prejudice.

The pertinent question should have been WHY not the comparison you are making.

It's very simple, Jordan Ibe is a free agent in the first instance. That completely changed the dynamics how clubs look at him. Do l need to explain that to you as well.

Second thing is Ibe is not a striker like KC and the expectations between a striker and winger are different. As well as measurement appraisal.

Finally, KC has the baggage of a huge contract and nobody is going to pay £10 million for a failed striker over the past three seasons.

But you come in with a general all encompassing statement. Moving from the individual to the collective but with blatant prejudice and negative assumption. As seen in the bold.

Who are the Nigerian lads you refer to because l can only think of one and that's KC.
