Every courses offered in Nigeria Universities are necessary for human existence, but our society have not attained that height of using those professions not familiar to us to earn living. Nigeria education system or ecumenism today has diminished to a level that the essence is not for job creation but for enlightenment. Most of our young graduates fail to comprehend this while in school, until they are out of school before they realise the reality of life. My man, I was in your shoe two year back, not until I moved from my comfort zone to hot zone before I could know what life is all about. Leave the certificate alone, go out there n hustle, call friends, families to know any help they can render.

This year I got an internship position at Genesys tech hub, and a job I never applied for from another company. Learn a skill now cos you'll likely question the essence of your education later.

See ur head like go to farm, the people that shout go to farms most times are not into farming themselves. Crop farming this year is very terrible. The early drought couple with breeze has destroyed many farm, mine inclusive. Politics in Nigeria is a hands-on profession. You work your way up. How many ballot boxes has he snatched? Has he ever broken someone's head for chairman before? Has he rented a crowd for the boss before? Has he shown in words and action that he can lay down his life for the godfather? The truth is most gradustes are not ready to start small, they prefer to beg,becomes liability to their parents, two months after my service , i couldn't get a reasonable job, all i got was security job of 25k, in the place i worked i was the only graduate, i was working and searching praying for a better job, i put in my very best even those who didnt have Olevel where not as hardworking as i was, i later disclose my qualifications because of a vacancy in the same place, the management assured me, but wasnt too long i got another offer, a better one that when i went for the interview the HR and interviewers asked the office assistant to bring air freshener, by the way i was welcomed i became scared whether they were scammers but i summond courage then i knew it was my job. today am practicing my profession, I swallowed my pride , i read a professional course, a course that almost evry month u see job openings . i graduated with a 2.1 too, now i have messenger, cleaner and securities around in my office,
am not trying to show my success or achievement but my point is THERE ARE TIMES U NEED TO FORGET UR B.SC AND 2.1 , BETTER TO START SMALL THAN STAY IDLE......I DID THAT SECURITY IN LESS THAN A MONTH , I WASNT ASHAMED , RATHER THAN BE ASHAMED OF MINOR JOB , I WAS ASHAMED OF BEING JOBLESS, they are many opportunities, it may come in a small way, NEVER NEGLECT ....EDUCATION IS NOT A SCAM.. you are not just thought to be job seeker, ur thinking should be broad be innovative and creative, now am planning to start a business while still working .....U HAV NO EXCUSE TO FAIL

Your certificate to me is just a platform since you can leverage on any existing firm and create jobs. why not consider affiliate marketing or small business marketing/ Digital marketing, with one or two days training you are free to go . To me I am of the opinion that every Nigerian Graduate is a potential employer if exposed to simple job creation strategies. From The Information Gathered By , The graduate, Godwin Joseph Ochie, who is from Enugu, Enugu State put up his Bachelor of Science (Bsc) and National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) certificates for sale on Social Media (Facebook) on Saturday, August 30, 2020.

Ochie who said certificates don’t work in Nigeria, stated that he’ll burn them if no one buys them.

“Certificate for Sale or I burn Them. They don’t work in Nigeria”, he posted on Facebook.

learnt that Ochie had graduated from the department of Political Science, UNN with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in 2010 and issued his certificate in 2011.

He completed the mandatory NYSC service in 2012, which he started in the year 2011, Reports.

, further learnt that Ochie was one of the beneficiaries of the N-Power scheme that was dissolved in August, 2020.

In one of his post, the depressed graduate complained that: “The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs under the affairs of HM Sadia Farouq has barred volunteers (from the N-Power scheme) from commenting or replying on their timeline. Volunteers can no longer comment or reply to the Ministries tweets. And so. And then.”

N-Power is a Federal Government social intervention programme aimed at helping youths without skill, job, or economic means to survive. Monthly stipend ranges from N10,000 to N30,000.

10years ago, while my parents where giving me and my bros money for school fees, they paid for shool fees and other fees, while i saved mine 4 years later they graduated and i told my family i have 2 extra years, they paid more fees and i saved it , i was also doing business by the side. 3 years ago, i summed up all the cash and travelled to europe. today, one of my bro earns 120 to 150k, the other one is jobless. they all depend on me for support. now i am a millionaire and i am going back to school like a don.

I think it's high time we understand Nigeria's educational system. For a good half of my University Education my results were woeful. It didn't deter me, as I was sure that in the emerging global economy paper certificate held no water. While many sought to scorn me, I was 10years ahead of my times in terms of wisdom.

Today it's the flip side, those who held tightly to 1st class and second class degrees are either scouting to be drivers for those who don't have a certificate or burning their hard earned degree in frustration.
