If it's true that men of every race especially sub saharan African men grin see light skinned women as more beautiful "subconsciously" than darker skinned women, then why did our fore fathers discriminate albinos?

N/B: I'm not trying to justify the discrimination against albinos or say light skinned women are less beautiful.

I just want to know if preference for light skinned women is society and media induced.

Trolls are allowed but I'll appreciate if your answer is a product of deep critical and constructive thinking. thanks.

Our ancestors did lots of crazy things back then like the killing of twins etc outa ignorance. Maybe they see albinos as low budget oyibo and they preferred the real ones.

the killing of albinos go way back before the Advent of the white man in Africa.

what about the light skinned people why didn't they see them as low budget oyinbo?

I am not an ancestor so I don't know how they reason that was why I said "maybe"

If it's possible to wake them up and ask them why they killed albinos I am very sure they will give you one mumu reason.......The annoying thing is that up till now they are still being discriminated in the society and I wonder why.

History tells us that our ancestors interpret any deviation from ‘normality’ as either a blessing or a curse especially if they don't understand why.

Albinism unfortunately became associated with negative superstitious beliefs hence the hate & discrimination. It's simple as that. sad

That's a valid question since albinos are light skinned as well.

But is it just your ancestors that discriminated, how about your present generation?

Men love women of all shades and color.

So don't be bothered about that. As a lady you should look for men that love your skin color as it is e.g. Runtown with his very dark slim model girl friend.

Such men like that are plenty. If a lady feels guys prefer light skin girls to dark skin girls it's just a matter of her perspective and maybe self esteem.

I've met a really cute albino lady. She takes good care of her skin, you can hardly tell she's albino from a distance.

Maybe because they're usually, not always, the product of inbreeding.

Light skin is different from albinism.... it's obvious

I guess Our ancestors viewed Albinism as an abnormality ,hence the discrimination

Even till now it's still viewed as a discrimination by some persons though

What ethnicity discriminates against albinos? Specify because as far as Yoruba is concerned Albinos (Afin) are not discriminated against.
