Ijaya123:That is the real koko of the matter. Senators that see nothing wrong in spending N39bln on renovating NASS building - already one of the most magnificent structures in Nigeria. Senators see nothing wrong in what is going on with their colleagues in NDDC! Senators see nothing wrong with corruption in their ranks and in the country at large. Senators see nothing wrong with insecurity in the land! But they shout and wail at DSTV increase and petrol and electricity price increase, so that they can look good for the gram!! And Nigerians think the Senators really care about them? It's just for show to be seen to be doing something. While it may be painful for this generation, The government has done the right thing for the future of this country. Not sure that many people realize that the country is virtually broke! And we got to this point in part by stupid subsidies over the years. What we have spent on subsidy in 40years by now will be close to $50bln!!! |

post=93552426:. Good morning, you just wailed but rather for you to wail and see to the change we all glamoured for, you ended up with hate speech against those you accused of wailing from 2015. It's better we move Nigeria forward without casting aspersion on people while doing it. A bag of rice I saw in a supermarket for 23000 last week is now 27000 in the same supermarket yesterday. Sir, Nigerians are suffering, 40000 could not afford me basic food ingredients yesterday. The masses are now caged that ppl can't protect without harassment and intimidation, thank you. |

Muhylonaire007:. Good morning, I know how you feel ok, a bag of rice I saw in a supermarket for 23k last week, I bought it 27k yesterday. Every Nigerian is feeling the heat even him that most times abhor criticising this government. You should have been more civil in your response rather than using harsh words on him, he will definitely see you as an enemy and won't take any of the things that you said, thank you. |

These are parts of surprises Buhari promised to show us na. APC has no conscience Hiking oil price from N97 to 151 in less than six years, this too ridiculous But internationally, the oil prices has drop down but in Nigeria is a different case. Wicked rulers. God will judge. The implications to this is that prices of goods will automatically inflated again |
| Re: Senators Protest Fuel, Electricity Hikes by Nobody: 9:36am On Sep 04, 2020 |
Fuel is not the main problem. That's the lesser evil. N97 to N162. Garri custard bucket rose from N300 to N800 permanently for my side. Rice custard bucket rose from N800 to N2,500. N2,500. That is really crazy. 3 X over. Feeding is wasting all the money Nigerians can save for a rainy day. |

omenka:. You guys tried so much to portray the Senate as the only one receiving jumbo pay, I'm in FCT and from who has an appointment in the Executive; I got to know that basic salary is nothing compared to allowances they receive ok. Those that are suffering are civil servants but MDGs, Ministers, Executive appointees etc are not suffering ok. Do you know that the Executive is the number 1 in the 3 arms of the government and it's the Executive that will give to the Legislature and judiciary? |

CallmeCHIKE:Honestly, I was shocked that a state governor could open his mouth to justify this crime against Nigerians. That Abiodun or whatever his name is, is a disgrace and wicked man. Millions of Nigerians have sank into poverty since this pandemic, and millions more are on the verge of starvation if nothing is done, yet instead of these evil men in government to put in place policies that will ameliorate the sufferings of the masses, they deliberately choose to make it far worse. Buhari is the worse thing that ever happened to Nigerians. I wouldn't say I warned them because it's already too late. Everyone is now suffering it. I doubt if there is any business that is breaking even in Nigeria today. Hundreds of thousands of people are being sacked because businesses are no longer profitable. Almost everyone has turned to beggers in Nigeria. The funny thing is that those begging don't even know that no one is comfortable again. I have personally stopped giving myself except on critical issues because I don't know what lies ahead. We simply can't continue like this, something will definitely give!! |

manuelreports:. Good morning, there is no need going tribal, I won't help you, it won't help Nigeria. in 2015 presidential election, APC lost Edo, Abuja, Oyo and some other states. Going tribal won't effect any positive change in Nigeria, corruption in Nigeria is difficult to curb because it is rooted in tribalism. if you catch an Igbo man, he will tell you that Yoruba did it and vice versa. let's say no to tribalism and hate in Nigeria, thank you. |

proeast:Oga learn to overcome challenges what the Governor said is right and something everyone with brains will understand. Your problem is you must have allowed your present circumstances of lack to define you. Understand everything have a value chain and stop asking for improvements if you don't want to do the work. You sound like a failure from your words. Even if you have a Car, House or whatever is like your circumstances define you at all point and you are nothing at all juncture. |

I will challenge you, with this increase how many companies in Lagos will put #10000 on the salary of each worker in order to Cushing that effect of the fuel increase? |

| Re: Senators Protest Fuel, Electricity Hikes by tonyson010(m): 11:30am On Sep 04, 2020 |
JohnOkolo:Nothing is proportionate here. The price of crude oil was around $60-75 since last year till February this year that it started going down. Now at $42 , government is already hiking petrol ?? I guess u don't have much knowledge in this that field. The governor is talking rubbish just to justify his master. We will survive, but if you get to live so much with goats in huts, you will start accepting goat huts as a very good place. If you think that you are ok now, indirectly it will dawn on you that there are friends, relatives and many people suffering in this country.....Which shouldn't ordinarily be. Don't think that they are not hard working........cos that will be you thinking that you are what you are, as a result of Ur personal efforts. |

COMPAQ:When subsidy was removed by GEJ, people cried, PMB and opposition wailed. Some people still believe that there is no subsidy in the current government.. I believe subsidy should go, but now is not the right time. |

tonyson010:Learn to understand sufferings will always happen and it's not because of this government it's happening. And lots of people have less to nothing doing. It's not about hardwork anymore but smartwork and better policies to improve the masses and by many indications this government is the best since Democracy. All I know is if you have problem with the price hike, you should also complain when it's going low or stop acting like an someone who just wishes for heaven on Earth. |
| Re: Senators Protest Fuel, Electricity Hikes by JohnOkolo: 11:53am On Sep 04, 2020 |
COMPAQ:Bastard and useless bunch of senators that can't control their house and do what is expected of them by cutting their huge allowances and salaries. Now the same bunch of thieves want to sabotage the government we so much love. If those Senators failed to complain when the price of petrol was regulated downwards but can complain today and even expect the Executive to relay latest development so they can politicize the matter at hand it shows they ar just playing to the gallery. Let the sector or regulatory body set the price as we are used to and let this bunch of useless Senators get back to their duties. We cannot be taking everything to them for their consideration because no same society works that way. Why do we have these regulatory bodies and not allow them do their Work Bastard Senators that will be telling a private business how to charge for their services and in return create an environment that's not investment friendly. Make and propose laws that are people oriented and builds the structure of the Society and stop sabotaging all efforts to revive the economy by this Government with and scare investors |

stormborn28:It's not just about what people make, but understanding the nature of economics, economies of scale, global trade, population, capital flows, productivity, technology, exchange rate dynamics, efficiency among others, that all have an impact in how a nation grows and develops. Everything is not just about govt should provide this or that. The world economy is too interconnected now for any government to ignore the global economy and its place in it. |
