juju is real. However, it's not everytime a child is sent on an errand he/she goes. Atimes, the child won't go or won't deliver the errand according to the wish of sender.

There are different reasons involved.
1. Belief
2.Universal laws
3.Taboo
etc

Just as paracetamol might not work when ingested, could be due to low dosage, taking milk with the drugs.
etc.

Juju is as real as shit.
May we never be put to the test

How real is day and night to you? If they are real what you are asking is real too.
The correct question should be how potent are they then some of us who have the experience can advise you.

They are fake. And even if they are real, they are useless. If they were real we should be hearing, Nigerian government exports 12 tons of odi eshi to Chinese military, or Nigerian government exports 20k barrels of juju that will help soldiers in Afghanistan to disappear when under attack. But alas juju could not save biafrans from Nigerian military, it hasn't been effective to curtail boko harams bullet and knives, the recent killings in enugu, juju didn't help either. And from personal experience I have seen people carrying the igbesu flag(the highest juju in Nigeria Delta) to confront police men. They were shot and a lot died, while the rest ran away, as usual the igbesu priest gave excuses and blamed Dem for being afraid, saying fear renders igbesu powerless.

Good question. One perspective I'll like you to consider as you answer this question is the following. Why was Africa helpless against colonization with all the acclaimed potency of African Traditional Religion ATR? And why was it that the instrument of domination employed by the whites were different from the spiritual powers of the new God they were selling to Africans? If Odeshe is so powerful, no more important era for that to have been proven than the periods of slavery and colonization.

Warning : Graphic story

In those days of public execution aka firing squad in Nigeria, there was one we went to watch that involved 16 condemned criminals. But one of them was a notorious "Odeshi" boosting criminal. He was the one most people came to watch. In fact, most people betted that he would never die by the guns. Usually, 2 soldiers were given one criminal to execute, so there were 32 soldiers altogether. After the preparations of the drums, the criminals were tied to each drum and the soldiers had their normal parade, then prayers were offered by the priest.

The final moment came. At the command of the leading solider, bullets rained and the smell and sound of hot metals (the bullets colliding with the drums) and gun powder filled the air. From a distance where the watching crowd gathered at the opposite end of the field, I could see red vapor of blood rising in the air from each drum stand. Blood spattered and dripped all over them. Some died at the sound of the gun, some at the first shot, most after a while. We knew because we could see their heads dropped over their chests. However, a medical examiner also approached them to confirm that they were actually dead. How they even thought anyone would survive it still beats my imagination. Ironically, the "Odeshi" criminal did not die. His head was still up. He was the last one standing of the 16.

The way the soldiers worked as a team was to join their next neighbor once their own assigned criminal was confirmed death. Therefore, as the number of criminals reduced, the number of soldiers facing the remaining ones increased. Finally, it was this last one standing versus 32 soldiers. Till today, I wish I had unseen what I saw that day. The down pour of bullets, the ripping of flesh and the dismemberment of individual body parts. The soldiers made a perfect circle on his chest with bullets, which eventually gave way and the pound of flesh landed on the ground creating a blood filled tunnel on his chest. That was when his head dropped. The doctor found his way through the mess and nodded in affirmation.

It was the end of the man with "Odeshi" as the soldier marched away to allow the city undertakers scoop what was left of his remains and nailed the coffin.

Juju is as real to the white men as Christianity is to them. If there were no juju then the whole God thing is a scam.
I believe in God, I believe in Juju.

Most people find out if these things are real or not when they have serious problems.

Usually they come back empty-handed and with empty pockets.

A priest prays to God for protection. An armed robber meets baba for protection.

Robber shoots priest and he dies.

SARZ shoots armed robber, bullet bounces off and robber shouts "Odeshí" and ran away with his loot. cheesy

can someone explain that to me pls?grin

Yes this explains the real fact that the white man christian/muslim religion has nothing to do with spirituality talk more of the supreme God.

The african tradition relates with spirit, nature and knowledge of humans.

The only thing is we are trying to get our african priest stop the use of humans for sacrifice. It’s Barbaric, apart from this they should channel their spiritual powers to the development and security of our country and not using it to fight each other.

it's the same thing with praying in churches and mosques, sometimes God work, sometimes he doesn't.

when you wear proper bullet proofs, it would work all the time. because science is better than imaginary shit.

I really don't believe in those stuffs not until my third year in the Uni when I went for a fieldwork in one of the border town(Igboho) in Oyo State Nigeria.
There, I met this boy not even up to 20years as I and my colleague were discussing about the mountains in the town, the boy told us he can lift one sizeable mountain with just reciting incantations and we just look at him like a dunce, even laughed at him until this boy do the unthinkable.
He recited some incantations and just like a flash the mountain lifted up a little like hung for some seconds and went down again, I was dumbfounded and till now I just can't comprehend it.
The boy later told us that people do come to his father when they're having legal issues and his old man will do something and hide it under the mountain, he further told us if it's accomplished, that's the end of the legal battle.
It's weird but it's real.
