Hi guys, I trust we are all doing well. I would like to advice every new person coming on this thread to first of all visit page one of this thread. That way, you are able to ask more technical and specific questions. All the basic questions are already answered on page 1.
I wish everyone the very best on this journey. And I thank you Mamaroon for starting Part 10 of this thread.

Hi guys. Can someone help me provide further clarification on the requirements below, with more emphasis on what the statement - "at least one year continuous work experience" represents

*Skilled Work Experience; You need to have at least one year continuous, full-time (at least 30 hours of paid work per week) or equivalent part-time work experience in an occupation that is NOC A, B or 0, in the past 10 years*

Does the word "continuous" as mentioned above mean that an applicant must currently be in the employment of his/her primary NOC which must be at least 1year as at the time of creating EE profile?

Or does it mean that the applicant can use any 1year or more work experience in the last 10 years to be eligible

The reason why I'm asking this question is that one can resign his/her present job at anytime for a better offer, while still being in the EE process. I hope the word "continuous" doesn't mean that the person has to wait and spend atleast 1 year in this new job to be eligible for the EE.

Thanks guys

It is a minimum requirement for FSW program. You need to at least have one full year work experience in any of those NOC categories as at when you apply.

Use https://myimmitracker.com/en . It will give you a better idea according to real life stats.

Also join a July/Aug AOR group so that you can compare notes with people in the same boat as you (in terms of submission time and streams)

God has given me a 2nd chance to do the right thing, as we were issued a second ITA yesterday. I once came to this platform to seek for advice on if I should appeal my application which was cancelled as incomplete due to my wife's Austria police clearance certificate which she got in Austria while she was still in Austria, as a result the application was rejected since we decided to apply when she returned to Nigeria, thereby making the application invalid. Thank God we already got a new Austria pcc from the embassy here in Nigeria.
But pls guys I have two questions as I wouldn't wanna make any silly mistake again.
1. Can we use same medicals done in previous application for this new one.

2. Due to the first application being rejected as incomplete, we were suppose to get a refund, but we are yet to get it. So is it possible to write them and ask that the last fee which is yet to be refunded be used for this new application?

Good morning!
Please can you be so kind to post the information I asked earlier here? Since I have not been able to receive any email from you concerning what I requested from you.

I shall be so greatfull if you can be of any assistance.

Thanks
Olamide.

The right meaning is the statement in red above.

Even if you have only spent 3 months on your current job and resign today, so long as between 2010 and 2020 you have at least one year continuous (non-stop) work experience, you should be eligible, provided the other conditions e.g. hours, pay etc, are met. You may even have been unemployed for the last 6 years, no issues.

Please guy, where is the place for me to change my Naira to euro?
It is possible I change it at my bank ( GTB)

Secondly, I planned to use use local flight from Abuja to Lagos first, before talking the international flight.
My worries now is that, local flight is 20k
While international flight is 23kg * 2
My luggage is about 35kg *1

Will the local flight accept the 35kg or charge me ?
What could likely be the charge of the 15kg extra

Thirdly, international flight says 23kg * 2
But am only Carrying 35kg * 1
And 1 school bag
Will that be a problem or I must have 23kg and 12kg in another luagage

You have 23kg*2 of luggage on international flight. Aside this, you can still carry at least a 7kp laptop bag for FREE.

You can carry 46kg as the luggage that will be taken into the plane storage. But you should divide this 46kg into two bags of 23kg each.

In any case, as it it, you haven't maxed out your luggage allowance so no worries on the international flight.

But for local flight, u can change your ticket to a higher plan that allows you to carry enough KGs or you can show up to the airport with your current ticket and they will bill you quite well for the excess KGs.

Hi everyone,

I just checked my IELTS result and had

Overall
8.0

Listening
8.0
Reading
9.0
Writing
7.0
Speaking
7.5

I'm thinking of remarking my writing and hopefully get a 7.5. I'm worried that the mark could decrease after reevaluation.

Is this possible? can the score reduce?

Please help

Approach your bank to sell you PTA a few days to your travel , they’ll require your ticket and your international passport.
For the local flight you may have to pay for the excess luggage I think it about 500 per kg extra they charge
International flight is 2 bags of 23 kg so you’ll have to lessen the 35 kg bag and split it up into two bags plus your carry on allowance in the cabin

Can anyone answer this question for me? please and thank you.

darlinvalerie:
Hello everyone
I need your advice.
I am applying for the Express Entry and I'm not sure whats correct to fill in the Education and Study section.

MY DILEMMA

I wrote WAEC twice. I finished school in 2005 and rewrote the WAEC in 2006.
For the ECA, I sent the second one (2006) for assessment.

In the part they asked for number of years of study, i put in 7yrs. (6yrs of secondary school plus the extra yr i rewrote WAEC)
For name of institution, i put in BOTH schools.
I was thinking that when I get the ITA, I indicate in my LOE that I failed the first WAEC at the previous school then rewrote in 2006 in the second school which was what I sent for ECA.

What do you guys think? Has anyone been in this situation? If you have, what did you do? whats the best way to tackle this?

Thanks as you respond politely and diplomatically :-)

Someone actually answered you but i guess you missed it. Whether you wrote waec 10x isn’t really Relevant to the application So don’t stress over it. What matters is your university degree as evaluated by the ECA body.
No need to complicated issues by explaining about failing and rewriting.

Make your application as simple as possible and if the VO requires any clarification, you will get an ADR.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by darlinvalerie(f): 2:04pm On Sep 06, 2020
The question was not answered.
In the Education section, they ask how many years spent for the WAEC degree and they also ask name of school.
I wrote WAEC twice and at different schools, so I am asking what the RIGHT thing to fill is, which is the basis of my original question (pls read it again)
Its not about how many points it will fetch me.

Solutions:
1. Carry an extra travelling box or bag, put your 35kg inside and like that for the local flight. pay the extra luggage fee on the local flight. Then for the international flight, Split your 35kg luggage into 2 using the extra travel box carried and save yourself excess luggage fee on this leg of the journey.

2. Split 35kg in two and pay excess luggage fee for local flight. Travel with your 2 luggages and laptop or backpack on the international flight at no extra cost.

3. Refer to solution 1 above but go by road from Abuja to Lagos. Split luggage and travel to Canada.

7 yrs...

The school where you wrote your exam and passed is the one you name in the application because if you are for any reason asked to provide (Will likely not happen) waec result thats the one you will bring out.

Write an attached LOE Explaining your situation if it’ll help you feel better.
