Go to their instagram page. Check their post of 13th to 15th August. Their CEO gave detailed insights to how they make their money. He did not go into full details because its their trade secrets but he gave very good pointers andni was quite satisfied with what he said.

I think I saw your comment on their IG page recently. When you get your first ROI next week, kindly let us know. Thanks!!

Well I haven’t!

I messaged the whatsapp number on their site and after all my rant, I got a single message ‘24-48 hours for invoice’

Have you finally received your invoice and MOU. What's of others who have complained, have you all received? We haven't heard from you again?

I have said, resaid and restated the same thing, but most people have refused to listen to me. themap looks way too good to be true, but people are still buying into it. So once again I urge Nairalanders to avoid investing in themap until we get more insight into their operations, leadership and other evidences of a company as large and profitable as they are claiming to have.

But maybe you, 1milli, and I are wrong and are being too cautious. Maybe. Time will surely tell.

Where can I invest? You seem to give open clear analysis? Can I chat you

I'm reluctant to do so right now 'cause my initial look at them raises serious questions about how sustainable their promised ROI and their business are. However, I might change my mind once I'm done reviewing the RentCrowdy that I am currently looking at. Let's just see how it will go.

@enigmatique
Well done. Keep it up. I was sceptical as well when i saw they were based in Port Harcourt. Yes, i know. It is silly to judge a business based on location. But i can't help it. Also their IG page is scanty. Started June 17, 2020. What were they doing all that time. I was just hoping with the way you do your indepth reviews you would change my mind. But it seems you also have your reservations. undecided

I'm sorry but I'm not open to giving out my contacts at this time.

That said, if you're asking "where can I can go to to invest in themap", well, I don't know much about that. So you can read through the last 3-4 pages of this thread to get that info.

If you mean "what companies can I invest in in general", well, you will still need to do your due diligence, but for sure there are low-to-medium or medium risk companies that you can look at. Firstly, head over to the agritech thread and take a look at the companies in the green section of the list we have in that thread and which is maintained by MummyIMadeIt. I suggest you should start from the ones among them that your suit your needs for ROI, farm/investment duration etc and decide whether you want to try them out. Then as you gain more experience in this category of crowdfunded investments, you can start looking at the ones in the "New performing farms under Observation" section of that list for medium risk opportunities.

As for this thread, well, we don't have a list yet. Right now we're just cross-examining non-agritech companies that seem to have a strong foundation so that we can invest in them. So far, themap and PayvestCarbon are the ones that we've looked at the most. Personally I'm currently looking at Rentcrowdy and will share my findings later, probably next weekend. So look at the ones we've be examining and also pick one of the yet-to-be-reviewed ones below and find all you can about them. Share what you find here so we that we can learn from you too.

Cheers.

Now into the meat of the matter.

The non-agritech crowdfunders that I've come across and that I'm investigating right now are the following:
- Aella: for providing micro/personal loans.
- Rentcrowdy: for providing rent payment loans/advances.
- PayvestCarbon: for powering the micro/personal loans that are provided by Carbon (formerly known as Paylater). They are different from the Payvest owned by Cosmotran that we now call PayvestCosmotran.
- TRJ Company Limited: for providing micro loans.
- Wealth.ng: investing in estate, hand-picked stocks and also some agritech.
- Lendha: most probably for powering micro/personal loans too.

So let's continue cross-examining these companies and share what we find.

Yes I definitely also have my reservations. A rule of thumb that I have engraved in my mind for a while now is that, in investing, if it seems too good to be true, it most likely is. Another thing is that a successful, stable and investable business must have exquisite business operation skills, and themap doesn't have that either. I can go on but I've expressed all my reservations a few times before. So I will stop here.

But you, me and everyone that has reservations about themap may end up being wrong. Only time will tell. So let's see how things will unfold from now till at least a year from now.

Here are my personal submission concerning the the map.
I have been with them since January i.e 9months.
1. They haven't defaulted on payments
2. The MD is approachable for clarification only that the expansion of late have led to the employment of rookie customer Care staff who are still grappling the new position they find themselves i.e CRMi.
3. The MD did a live Instagram broadcast today on the opening of their Abuja office and even answered questions from an investor live. I think explore those channels for your due diligence.
One of the questions asked was about invoice of which he gave clarification and assurances.
4. Personally I've invested in various platforms both agric and non agric with the little finances I have. And can categorically tell you that the level of transparency, communication by the map especially through social media is highly commendable.
5. This are personal submissions. I think that young man Anyanso is going places with this company.

TheMap need to make some major changes in operations and interactions with investors and I believe these changes should supercede expansion into new businesses or locations. Getting funding/investors is easy! Managing them excellently is not, so that is where the work is. They need a new websire that truly explains the businesses clearity and precision. Then they need a dashboard that each investor can use to track. Currently, I believe most people need to keep an excel sheet or a note to track. That is so so un2020! With a dashboard, you can send all confirmations, all invoices, all MOUs and people will keep tabs. Then a live chat (personell monitored not bot) will add a lot of value. In crowdfunding, trust is No 1 so you must communicate and communicate and communicate especially in a clime like Nigeria where people (deservedly) need extra level of assurance.

Hello guys. Has anyone here ever invested in ZCPI africa? I invested in their palm oil trading investment with 30% ROI in 3 months.

Since 14th of August. Up to now, no MOU or invoice sent to my email as promised. No response to my chats or messages.

Have I been scammed?
Please before you do any investment, come and search for the company's name on nairaland. Read through all the posts thoroughly.
If the company's name doesn't bring out any results, create a thread and make enquiries.
Even with Due Diligence, investors are still at risk. However, DD is better than investing blindly
