they are insectivorouse they dont harm humans or other animals.

It is not a monitor lizard, a type of salamander.
It looks like a spotted salamander or fire salamander too. It's doesn't feed on human, okay.

Red = worry not. Such animal was just passing by till you kill it. I don't think it has parental care.
