Onitsha is a tiny city established by the Binis that is not expanding as it should.It is a very old city which had failed to grow and gain more land like Ibadan.

Am I the only one or is there someone else who has noticed that recently, any issue affecting the whole of nigeria, like bad policies from the government, increased in VAT, electricity bill or fuel pump price increase..the Igbos hardly join in protest. When I said Igbos I mean the 5 South eastern states.

Is this to show that despite majority of Igbos being against this government, yet those that supported the government(especially north and south west) are the ones being hit by the famine? Cause there has been series of protests in Abuja, Lagos and some other northern and south western states, yet the 5 eastern states are quiet about it and going about their normal businesses.

Two things are involved,
1. It is either the Igbos don't see the challenges as a burden. Or

2. Igbos truly don't care about Nigeria and only interested in Biafra.. meaning whatever is happening in Nigeria is none of their business.

There is no place in Igbo land where a plot Is sold for 500k or less.
Meanwhile there are many places in Yoruba land where a plot is sold for 100k

Now imagine you guys after the war, where lands are sold as much as 5million in a village. Will that person build house with olden days roofs or modern day roofs?

Check Benin, Akwaibom, port Harcourt (at least I've been to those 3)

Lol. It's like you don't understand. I remember when sowore was protesting and so many igbos did not join the protest. They sat behind their keyboards supporting him from the internet. Let me tell you why. Over the years, ever since that your current president was sworn into office, any cause that the igbos support will be looked at like a biafra protest . If not a biafra protest, then the whole Nigeria will look at the matter and say we are protesting or reacting because we hate buhari and apc. That's the truth. Let's start from when buhari was busy appointing only northerners into key offices. We voiced our displeasure, but everyone said that it's because we hate buhari. The Niger delta avengers case came, and every body said that we hate buhari and that's the reason we support the avengers. There are so many things that happened that time, and when we say something against the government, then we automatically hate buhari. So what's the need? One thing most Nigerian will be shocked to find out is that the South east region as far back as the 90s have been paying the highest cost of petrol. This has been the case for a very long time and Igbos have just adjusted economically to it.

They didn't join the protest when GEJ partially took out the subsidy and they wont join any protest under buhari or any other president.

Forget the statistics from Yemi and his collaborators, the south east has a very strong middleclass that has been able to withstand so many harsh environment for decades.
