LaboPolitics: Your comment is a major reason why many Nigeria Youths might not be that employable because they lack analytical skills. The Yoruba man that won the 1999 elections contested against another Yoruba man. The party that had Yoruba colouration AD/APP had landslide victory across Yoruba states while states from other regions chose PDP and OBJ. For all the 8 years that OBJ ruled, Nigeria went from bad to worse, meaning other regions made the choice that led us this far! https://www.electoralgeography.com/new/en/countries/n/nigeria/nigeria-presidential-election-1999.html Now, listen and listen good! Results of 2011 shows that aside Osun state which GEJ had 37%, other SW states combined gave him nothing less than 62% of their votes meaning that the SW is always looking beyond the barriers of tribal differences and drifting towards the real change Nigeria needs. https://www.electoralgeography.com/new/en/countries/n/nigeria/nigeria-presidential-election-2011.html Food for thought! 3 Likes 1 Share |

DEROX:oga please stop this nonsense in the name of online argument... Am Yoruba what you wrote up there is very toxic and it will affect us all, igbo, ijaw Yoruba... This is not 1960,a Yoruba man must be above board in Nigeria.. Bring out your ọmọlúwàbí qualities, i stop reading where you said if the speaker pass the land grabbing act, do you think the Fulanis know the difference between an igbo and a Yoruba man? E je ki a sọ ara wa oooo... Please, thank you. 2 Likes |

The north will continue to be 'garullous' as long as elements from the south continue to be selfish and some youths continue in their ignorant ethnicity, tribalism and fanaticism. 1 Like |

LaboPolitics: This comment portrays you as a foolish and a stark illiterate of the realities on the ground. The Hausa/ Fulani that pulverized your ancestors between 1967 and 1970 can not prevent the Yoruba nation from parting ways with Nigeria if they want to. If it was the Yoruba nation that had wanted to secede from Nigeria from 1967, they would have long gone. In terms of all parameters, apart from committing crimes (which is tightly wired into the genes of your forebearers) the Yorubas are not your mates. 1 Like 1 Share |

But it’s unimaginable that SW people can despise the Igbo quest for presidency, as SW talks about getting the presidency in 2023. What happens to rotation through which the SW ever got the presidency in 1999? Because without rotation, no SW candidate could have won the presidency in 1999 given the new political structure of Nigeria ultimately crafted by late Sani Abacha. |

Cyberterror:and SS and SE will vote for a muslim Oshibajo can still creditable get more vote that Tinubu. Tinubu can't get 50℅ vote from sw elite,he can only get maybe 70 ℅ from the streetclass. That is less than 60% of SW vote. Now tell me what percentage of SS and SE That will vote Tinubu, now NC,NE and NW. |

[quote author=flyingpig post=93721027]Chai this people are now dictating to us our terms of governance but nobody threatened them that sharia law, hisbah police and boko haram threat to establish Islamic state might deny them presidency in 2015 [/pquote] The more reason why we should unbundle the entity called Nigeria ..No sincerity from the Northern elements, they are hypocrites and not trust worthy. They have all manner security outfits to fight criminality so why is it Amotekun that is giving them sleepless night ? |

Re: Garus Gololo: South-West’s Stand On Amotekun Could Cost Them 2023 Presidency by DEROX: 10:39am On Sep 09, 2020 |
mamaafrik:This is it if jagaban comes out it will just play like 1993 Abiola election then it was even Muslim Muslim ticket i mean Abiola and Kingibe yet he won if dogara is made VP northern Muslims will vote tinubu for religious empathy while southern Kaduna and plateau also Benue will vote for dogara. The north central like Kwara and kogi will obviously vote Tinubu. The main decider will be the north as they have 19 out of 36 states 180 out of 360 reps. They have exactly half of the political structure in the sw they don't vote on religious line hence they gave Abiola 95% votes so forget tinubu won't get 50% vote you said even APC will win Oyo state the only PDP state in SW i can tell you that |

pharmagba:North fought up to supreme court to Institute Hisba legally since 2001 but they don't carry arms and there is no opaque agenda in Hisbah and Hisbah is doing quite well more than police in terms of maintaining social problems and prevention of community crimes. It's impossible to create community police and deny IGP supervising their activities, just supervising and nothing else. Something is fishy! |

Coronabirus:No opaque agenda? If you are talking of no apaque agenda this can only be said of amotekun which it's only objective is to flush out criminals. Hisbah mission is to intimidate and harass free thinkers going to bars to destroy alcohol and hotel to pick prostitute for no reasonable cause. Hisbah wild dangerous weapon and matchtee to intimidate victims. Amotekun is not against IGP but the reverse is the case, IGP suddenly felt the overwhelming support amotekun got from the south west and like a jealous wife started spewing intimidation instead of stepping up their game and improving on their ineptitude 1 Like |
