Why shut it down just few months before Dangote is set to commission his own refinery ? And also remove subsidy so it will become more expensive to import fuel , importers have no option but to buy from Dangote all filling station in Nigeria will have to buy fuel from Dangote or go out of business ?
Secondly does it mean If Dangote a Private Individual can build refinery ? Nigeria Federal Government cannot maintain only 4 refinery to work at full capacity ? Is Dangote richer than Nigeria state ? I think its lack of political will to make that refinery work because they all have certain percentage in Dangote Refinery the Fulani cabals

Were the refineries operating optimally or at all under 16 years of PDP and 6 years of Jona?

Was the FG not richer under jona who made more oil money than any administration in the history of Nigeria, oil sold for over $100/barrel under jona, they had every opportunity ro make the refineries work and even build more refineries, but their main duty was looting and sharing.

Now, when PMB came in, did he not give licenses to several individuals and companies to build refineries?

Is none of the four Nigerian refineries in Fulani land? So is it a case of Kaduna is working and warri, port hacourt and the ors are not? Is Dangote refinery located in Fulani area too? What was his first choice of location where he wasn't allowed to site it? It is Dangote today, others will follow.

@ emboldened: Actually its BUA that got the license to build another 300k BPD refinery in Akwa Ibom. So if its the Fulani element in the ownership of these mega refineries that's giving ipobs heartache and bitterness then I feel very sorry for them.

Is our refineries working before? I thought we were importing fuel oo.

Specifically, our total daily consumption is 409k barrels per day. Dangote's capacity is 650k BPD. BUA is adding another 200k+ BPD in 2023 bringing us to a combined 800k BPD (twice our total needs).

This will not only make us self sufficient, but will make Nigeria a net exporter of Petroleum products. This will also create hundreds of thousands of direct and indirect jobs (mostly in the SW & SS).

Good news for the Naira and the Nigerian economy as a whole.
