It is safer to not go back to subsidy regime again.

You people never learn, mumu for theory, @ every point in time fuel was hiked ... subsidy removal is used as justification. How many times we wan move subsidy.
GEj govt hiked pump price cos he removed subsidy.
Buhari came on board, discredited subsidy regime only to turn around and use same subsidy removal to hike price frm 97 to 145,whats d probability december they won't tell us subsidy again, lies!! the truth is our govt don't see there followers as people who have sense.
fuel was selling for #145 even when it sold $60 per barrel, is it now that its sell for $41 per barrel nigerians should be exploiedfor #162, nnpc source with a subsidised xchange rate

Government must revert to #145, because we were told then by Kachukwu that at that price subsidy has been removed, let them commercialize NNPC so we refine and not import pms and within that time frame, subsidize the pms until demand and supply gets to an equilibrium price. if this is not done price will keep going up because naira is on a free fall.

Apc and the present govt used same protest and cheap talk to protest freely against GEJ in 2015. Nlc, tunde bakery(s), sowore, nas, satanic nupeg and the like. Now they are against protest and freedom of speech, gaging the press from freedom of expression, same tools they used freely during GEJ's era. Where are some of the paid nuj's, lagos lord? Etc. Come and protest!!!

Saying that with #162 , subsidy will be removed is one elephant lies that will eventually swallow Nigeria.....

This government was voted to resurrect the three refineries we have in Nigeria but will those benefiting from Subsidy allow such?

And now the same government is saying she will remove subsidy and get those big goons hungry

When Dangote group is single handedly building a refinery that Nigerian government can't resurrect one out the three she has should tell you how corruption has eaten deep the corridors of this government.....

Let the fuel price be reduced to #86 naira , govt should find ways to deal with the subsidy

Sombori say "sai baba there" Next level una find, next level una see.. This is just the beginning.. cheesy. Leaders are not the problem.. But some citizens who lacks common sense are the problem of the country.. Una Darling Sai baba is what most Nigerians(zombies) needs( strong hands) Zombies must buy fuel at that prize ,and they must pay the electricity bills..

What will that mass action change? Who are those to participate? How come our people, having been bamboozled, hoodwinked, deceived and bewitched to believe those campaign words before 2015 have suddenly come to the realization that subsidy removal is the way out? Now not just did they remove subsidy, they increased electricity cost at the same time.

The economic pains inflicted by corvid 19 are daily experienced. Borders are shut permanently. Bag of rice rose from 8k in 2015 to 16k in 2019 and now @32k. Curiously the people who booted PDP/GEJ out in 2015 still tell everyone that all is well and people should be hopeful. I am very sure that for the so called supporters there will be plenty of regrets in their private moments and plenty of crying especially when they see NO FOOD in their homes.

Bros, can u pls explain how a protest can make an economy get worse? What makes d Nigerian economy fragile?

Meanwhile, Buhari & d rest of d political class and their families eat free food, drink free water& drinks, wear free clothes, read free newspaper, enjoy free internet & phone calls, free air and road transportation, free medical care, free electricity, free water, free security, free entertainment & DStv, free accomodation at home& abroad and several other freebies we don't even know for doing nothing. Pls who is paying for all these freebies. is it d American economy that is sustaining d freebies?

Every uncertainty puts pressure on the Economy bro ..Last week Buhari made a grave Economic mistake by increasing Fuel price and Electricity tarriffs in the same week and that action put pressure on the Economy in terms of inflation and further erosion of the savings capacity of the middle class ..But now the mistake has been there is no need for any mass protest as it will will destabilize the production chain of the Economy if the protest succeeds in keeping people of work ...I am not a fan of Buhari but the truth is that Nigeria cannot afford any subsidy at this point and it's all because of Buharis bad leadership

We seriously need Gods intervention in this our country Nigeria.

It still baffles me how government keep increasing prices of things in Nigeria without even carrying out an assessment on its citizens affairs.

Further explanation:

1. The rate at which Companies sack their employees are really on the high side.
2. The rate of employment in this country is very low.
3. Most remaining staff/workers salary are been slashed.
4. Prices of things in the market is getting extremely high.
5. cost of expenses for every expenditure is really high and unbearable, while the source of income is nothing to write home about. etc.

Yet no one coughs as if we are all been charmed. Honestly,i can hardly comprehend.

We have more pressing issues at hand than protest in the east where they'd send all their boys to shoot us but will either arrest you or just neglect you because someone said so. I just don't understand why citizens can't demonstrate freely in a democratic nation.
To think that they want the youth to come out and protest again the government knowing fully well how protesters are treated is heartbreaking.
This is the same thing happening in Morocco and other African countries. Moroccan youths are leaving the country en masse and those that do not have the wherewithal to leave are praying using these Quranic verses saying:
Our lord help us leave this town (country) whose people are oppressors.
Our Lord! bring us out of it: if ever we return (to it), then we have wronged ourselves indeed!"
Looooools!

Protest without sense.

So government should tell petrol dealers that bought fuel @ N150 to sell at N85?

The earlier we realised that fuel and electricity distribution has been privatised, the better for us.

And there lies the ignorance.

It is not government that increased the price of fuel or electricity, but the govt played a major role in ensuring that the prices were not above current levels,in the form of intervention.

If you must protest,it's your legitimate right, but know what you are protesting against, I beg.

The only common sensical protest now is to tell govt to bring back the subsides or fix our refineries.

For protests to achieve their objective, they must be reasonable and focused.

Any protest to reduce fuel price to N85 or any other level, is quite stupid.

It is the amount of subsidies brought back that will determine the fuel price.

IN REALITY THERE IS NO SINCERITY OF PURPOSE IN NLC ANY LONGER IS ALL ABOUT POLITICS.

No need for all this ...the truth remains Nigeria doesn't need to go back to Subsidy again, subsidy only made friends of any sitting president super rich without any work or creativity being exchanged for such work and it bled the ability to save of a poor country like Nigeria .. Any protest now will just make the fragile Economy to get worst and I don't think the govt will budge not because they don't have empathy bit because the can't afford subsidy as it is now ..
and you think the market force will not increase it further with this unhealthy state of our economy?,. I want you to know that its only a global problem like covid 19 can reduce the price,so as the dollar dey rise, the oil go they rise nothing new
