It is unscriptural to insult or rebuke ministers of God . A new generation seem to be ingnorant of principles of the scripture and the consequences of violating them which carry curses

Psalms 105:15
Touch not mine anointed,
and do my prophets no harm.

Sometimes in this forum I Have heard some ignorant people say that the verse above is for all Isreal and not men of God . If you think so You must have gotten your Theology upside down. Firstly is the whole of Isreal anointed . Is the whole of Isreal prophets ? That verse was making Reference to Patriacts and prophets Abraham and Isaac Before whom God rebuked Kings for touching their wives .

Psalms 105:14-15
14 He suffered no man to do them wrong:
yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed,
and do my prophets no harm.

Genesis 26:11
11 And (KING)Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.

That explanation should be enough for he wise.

God anointed 3 offices in the Bible days . The king ,The priest and The prophet. God gave instructions to have respect for such. And by That we have no right to insult such men

Exodus 22:28
28 Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.

Remember that this rulers were ministers anointed by God “priest and prophets

The same way today God has annointed ministers over Gods people .

What if a minister do wrong ? That still doesn’t give us the right to curse or insult them . A minister can only be rebuke by God or someone higher than him but not a surbodinate . I will give you 3 instances In scripture .

MOSES
He was the man by who the law came , yet he was the first to brake the law of intermarriage . He married an Ethiopian woman when the wife left him. Aaron and Miriam who were surbodiates Spoke against Moses for his wrong .

Numbers 12:1
1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

God judged them instantly read the rest of the story . Miriam became leprous on this account .

Same things goes for the sons of Korah and elders who stood against Moses for having too much authority claiming that “they are all anointed “

Numbers 16:3
3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

DAVID AND SAUL

It was evident that Saul was a backsliden King. Even though David had been chose to take over he would not violate scripture principle despite the Fact that Saul wanted to kill him . He had had numerous opportunities to kill Saul but wouldn’t do it because of the anointing upon Saul as head . Especially when his servant Abishai asked David permission to kill Saul

1 Samuel 26:9
9 And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD's anointed, and be guiltless?

PAUL
Paul once had an incident where the Highpriest ordered him to be slapped . He insulted the highpriest without knowing he was high priest . But when his attention was brought to it , he apologized .

Acts 23:2-5
2 And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. 3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? 4 And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? 5 Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

These days we have people especially on this Forum insulting ministers . It is error which carry curses . If a minister did wrong against the law let the law handle the matter , if it’s against God , let God handle the matter . But stop putting your mouth especially in things that’ you may even be wrong about in your own limited understanding

was David a minister of God?

that phrase touch not was as a result of Saul trying to KILL David, an anointed leader for the Israelites. it was not for Priests who are being corrected for their errors.

why was Samuel not told 'touch not' when he went to warn Saul?
Why was Jesus not told 'touch not' when he Critisized the priests during his time?

you guys like twisting phrases in the bible to suite the wrong you do. Correcting pastors of their wrong doings is not a bad thing and using 'touch not' for those pointing it out is just a blackmail (for those who will fall for it anyway) to cover their wrong doings.

Is the anointed allowed to touch the unanointed? And how do you prove God's anointing on somebody?Because these men are wealthy and they openly display their wealth, you concluded God must gave anointed them. This only prove them to be good business people/entrepreneurs not any evidence of God's anointing.

Touch not my anointed does not applies to Christian to Christian

Paul rebuke Peter cos both carries annointing

Gal 2:11

But when Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him in public, because he was clearly wrong. 12 Before some men who had been sent by James arrived there, Peter had been eating with the Gentile believers. But after these men arrived, he drew back and would not eat with the Gentiles, because he was afraid of those who were in favor of circumcising them

All you said is true and honestly, how can you insult a rep of God. It is like when God disperse an angel to one and you insult the angel, you insult the sender. You insult an envoy, you insult the the sender and also, it carries its own consequences and its devastating. Only God can help such.

However, people should know these special envoys too cannot and must not behave carnally. The have a responsibility to represent their principle and in this case, God to the best of their ability. If God or Jesus won't tell them do it, then they can't do it. In fact, I make bold to say if God can't do it, they can't. We must be guided properly.

Jesus is coming and He is coming for a church without stain or blemish. Any little stain can make you found wanting and it is same for both followers and leaders.

As Christ Ambassadors, we must always reflect the will of the Father.

Buliwyf:
You modern pastors are clowns. Suit wearing clowns.

I am sure there were people like you saying the same thing when Jesus was rebuking the Pharisees. All of a sudden you whip out bible verses to scare and stop dissent.

First question. Who anointed you? One conman goes and anoints another burgeoning conman and both now claim to be anointed in scamming people and parting them from their money.
It's funny how that anointing never lets you speak up against politicians thieving money and sitting in the front row of your churches and giving you a share of their stolen wealth. Cecelia Ibru before she was caught was gallivanting about with Redeem Church hierarchy and at no time did their anointing tell them to distance from her. Even Pastor Ize Iyamu will claim to also be an anointed man of God. I even hear that Paul Enenche who was shouting about building churches in a recent video was known to go about in different government parastatals praying for civil servants in high positions in Abuja and hustling his own money. Some of them were later caught with their hands in the till. Anointing my ass.

Second question. Why do you think we should criticize politicians and imams but leave your pastors out? So you want to be able to criticise other religious and secular leaders and insult them when they do something you don't agree with but don't want the same to be done to yours? You are a clown cheesy cheesy

When they insult Buhari they don't remember that elders should be respected. But as soon as their own erring pastors are insulted too they start screaming and playing the respect card. Nonsense.
Well informed response. I keep asking who anointed these spiritual businessmen? They sent fears into the minds of the gullible, protect themselves with armed men and live large at the expense of the downtrodden. They can fool some men, but they cannot fool God. None of them saw Coronavirus coming while they were crossing over from 2019, and none has been able to perform any healing on a covid patient on a respirator, but i hear they have resumed their scam miracles again after this pandemic has died down. Spiritual noisemakers in suits embarassed
Their judgement from the true God they have misrepresented will come swiftly on them, unless they repent.

As much as I agree with you, that instance you brought up in the Bible holds no water.
There's nothing wrong with being bald.
Compare to a pastor that has been eating funds meant for the poor or sleeping around with church members.
Every 'anointed' that refuses to heed the word of God and keeps on sinning will eventually lose God's anointing

If he attacks the vulnerable or helpless that are dear or related to me, it will take God himself to stop me from slitting his throat by myself. this very mistake is the mistake many people like you always make. Frankly, it makes you narrow minded and anybody who is narrow minded shouldn't be taken seriously, much less, listen to.

You're here throwing Bible verses up and down, have you asked yourself this fundamental question: The people who insult ministers are the Christians?

How do you expect someone who's not a Christian to understand that bible verse? Or even adhere to something he or she doesn't subscribe to?

Good.

Since this is a Christian thread, I'm only begging Christians not to insult. At least I know that their religion doesn't teach that.

As for insults hurled at PMB or Trump, I still feel it's not the right way to go.

It's just that we seem to be helpless in this country so everyone tries to vent their frustrations the way they can.

14 He suffered no man to do them wrong:
yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

Anyone can claim to be annointed even criminals.

The ones that rob, molest, rape and covet should not be touched? Some of you are re.tarded indeed.

While I support the fact that men of God are not to be talked to anyhow but Biblically, Touch not my anointed is not for selected few. The genesis of this verse started with the Israelites. If we are to apply this today, every believer who has given his life to Christ is an anointed of God. We all carry this and not selected few.
