It is unscriptural to insult or rebuke ministers of God . A new generation seem to be ingnorant of principles of the scripture and the consequences of violating them which carry curses

Psalms 105:15
Touch not mine anointed,
and do my prophets no harm.

Sometimes in this forum I Have heard some ignorant people say that the verse above is for all Isreal and not men of God . If you think so You must have gotten your Theology upside down. Firstly is the whole of Isreal anointed . Is the whole of Isreal prophets ? That verse was making Reference to Patriacts and prophets Abraham and Isaac Before whom God rebuked Kings for touching their wives .

Psalms 105:14-15
14 He suffered no man to do them wrong:
yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed,
and do my prophets no harm.

Genesis 26:11
11 And (KING)Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.

That explanation should be enough for he wise.

God anointed 3 offices in the Bible days . The king ,The priest and The prophet. God gave instructions to have respect for such. And by That we have no right to insult such men

Exodus 22:28
28 Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.

Remember that this rulers were ministers anointed by God “priest and prophets

The same way today God has annointed ministers over Gods people .

What if a minister do wrong ? That still doesn’t give us the right to curse or insult them . A minister can only be rebuke by God or someone higher than him but not a surbodinate . I will give you 3 instances In scripture .

MOSES
He was the man by who the law came , yet he was the first to brake the law of intermarriage . He married an Ethiopian woman when the wife left him. Aaron and Miriam who were surbodiates Spoke against Moses for his wrong .

Numbers 12:1
1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.

God judged them instantly read the rest of the story . Miriam became leprous on this account .

Same things goes for the sons of Korah and elders who stood against Moses for having too much authority claiming that “they are all anointed “

Numbers 16:3
3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

DAVID AND SAUL

It was evident that Saul was a backsliden King. Even though David had been chose to take over he would not violate scripture principle despite the Fact that Saul wanted to kill him . He had had numerous opportunities to kill Saul but wouldn’t do it because of the anointing upon Saul as head . Especially when his servant Abishai asked David permission to kill Saul

1 Samuel 26:9
9 And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD's anointed, and be guiltless?

PAUL
Paul once had an incident where the Highpriest ordered him to be slapped . He insulted the highpriest without knowing he was high priest . But when his attention was brought to it , he apologized .

Acts 23:2-5
2 And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. 3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? 4 And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God's high priest? 5 Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

These days we have people especially on this Forum insulting ministers . It is error which carry curses . If a minister did wrong against the law let the law handle the matter , if it’s against God , let God handle the matter . But stop putting your mouth especially in things that’ you may even be wrong about in your own limited understanding

Well written and analysed.. Whatever crime one does and to whomever it is done against has the right to punish such offender, take for Instance in a class,a child is given an assignment to do and he doesn't do it,who will punish the child? The teacher of course, whatever pastors do,say or act we don't have any right to throw tantrums at them instead we should be mindful that we didn't call them rather God and He owns the imperial power to deal with anybody who profanes Him name.... Righteousness89 what do you have to say about this...

What we shouldn't attack or mock is their CALLING, not their actions. Judgement even begins in the house of God. We ought to correct them with wisdim in love NOT in hate or contempt.

But however, I am not in support of Freeze's attitude. He is an attention seeker

Please to make it clear, D.Freeze is wrong and attention seeking.

However, if a minister swindles, attacks or mocks me in the name of being a minister, he will know that there is a difference between a son of God and a servant of God....I will call him to order and bring him to his knees before the law.

If he attacks the vulnerable or helpless that are dear or related to me, it will take God himself to stop me from slitting his throat by myself. A minister should act like a minister, not an unconverted beast in the guise of being called by God. My actions may be God's judgement to him. It doesn't mean I'm challenging his calling.

Not just ministers of God. It is very wrong for a younger person to insult an elderly person. Be it Buhari, Oyedepo, Imam, etc.

People should learn to express their opinions without insults.

Religious leaders should not insult anyone too, whether younger or elderly.

All human beings deserve respect.

What judgement do you think it refers to? What types of judgement do we have in the scriptures? I believe you know bible knowledge differs from rhema (revelatory knowledge) with all due respect sir.

I await your response.

Judgement, condemnation of another.

still a vague response.

Romans 14:4 speaks about downplaying one's calling. A minister is answerable to his master in terms of service (calling) and nobody is downplaying the calling of any minister of God here.

Every believer, in his/her own right is a minister of the Gospel and at large, a minister of God. It is very scriptural to rebuke, call some one names, insult, criticise, express sharp and cutting disapproval of someone badly behaving and someone's bad behaviour/actions/words

petra1:
Psalms 105:15
"Touch not mine anointed,
and do my prophets no harm.
Psalms 105:15, is talking of real prophets. Talking of God sent prophets, talking of God appointed prophets, talking of prophets God knew before they were conceived in their mother's womb and born.

Psalms 105:15, is not talking of self-styled prophets, is not talking of self-arrogated prophets, is not talking of charlatan prophets

You just like Benbellamor rightfully observed about you, are again, keep quoting out of context. You are again here again, busy quoting out context, trying very hard, to perfect the art of proof-texting

petra1, fyi, if you had read Exodus chapter 4 contextually, it would have put your theology and things generally in their proper perspective

"1Then Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because of the Cushite woman he had married, for he had taken a Cushite wife.
2“Does the LORD speak only through Moses?” they said. “Does He not also speak through us?” And the LORD heard this
"
- Numbers 12:1-2

It's from the exposure of Zipporah, being a pastor/priest's one of seven daughters (i.e. the daughter of Reuel/Jethro/Hobab, the priest and prince of Midian) and that her privy to the knowledge of the details of the Bridegroom, obtained likely from divining, as a result of past interacts with Moses, that made her have the understanding, revelation of who the Bridegroom of blood is, have the know how and capability to carry the circumcision of their first son in Moshe aka Moses' absence.

Now, here is the important thing about Numbers 12:1-2 petra1, this scripture which you've put a spin on, actually in the real sense, is informing us that, Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because of wife, the Cushite woman, an outsider. Zipporah is an archetype, a typical example of the Gentiles, who 2000 years will be grafted into the fold based on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This was a coded language of what was going to happen in the future

Also Miriam and Aaron were jealous of the Bridegroom revelation Zipporah received (i.e. Numbers 12:2), and why it wasn't them, Miriam and Aaron, that had it first.

The shepherdess in Song of Solomon 1:5-6 is not a naturally black skinned person. She actually is an Israelite, just like the other womenfolk. She is a person of the Levant origin or from the Mediterranean Sea region

The shepherdess in Song of Solomon Solomon 1:5-6, a bonafide and confirmed Israelite, had to apologise to the women, for turning dark and/or for becoming darker than her other fellow light olive-skinned/light reddish brown skinned/light yellow or golden skinned Israelite womenfolk.

Yes, they, Miriam and Aaron, weren't aware that they were given a glimpse of what the future would be or look like and so they unconsciously were fighting and/or kicking against it.

"And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian."
- Genesis 25:20

"And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife."
- Genesis 16:3

You forgot how, Ishmael, Abraham's first son, was born and that, it is how the Arabs, the Arab race came about (i.e. from the sexual liaison of father Abraham, a Semite and Hagar, an Egyptian)

God as you can see from Genesis 25:20 and Genesis 16:3 above, has no problem with interracial relationship(s), inasmuch as if it doesnt create any conflict of interest(s) with Him, as the centre of focus, attraction and devotion

Joseph had an interracial marriage. He married an Egyptian. Now the thing is Asenath, would have had racial characteristics very similar to that of Hagar, who before her, was given to Abraham by his wife Sarah, and so how Ishmael, Abraham's first son was born and how the Arab race (i.e. the sexual liaison of Abraham, a Semite, with Hagar, an Egyptian) came about.

Moshe aka Moses had an interracial marriage. He married Zipporah, a Midianite. Miriam because of her jealousy and ignorance spitefully called Zipporah a Cushite, an Ethiopian woman (i.e. Numbers 12:1-2), of this, Zipporah obviously really isn't. She is a dark skinned woman, but defo wasn't a Cushite, an Ethiopian woman.

Contrary to your eisegesis, Moshe aka Moses did not wantonly first to break any the law of intermarriage. He was never married to an Ethiopian woman. His wife never left him. I have explained the background, why and how Miriam mischievously referred Zipporah to be an Ethiopian

petra1:

These days we have people especially on this Forum insulting ministers. It is error which carry curses. If a minister did wrong against the law let the law handle the matter, if it’s against God, let God handle the matter. But stop putting your mouth especially in things that’ you may even be wrong about in your own limited understanding
All you did with the above quoted verses was to with them individually concoct a hodgepodge of eisegesis mixing together and moving from one preconceived idea to another preconceived idea. Jumping from "the sons of Korah and elders who stood against Moses" a constituted authority, to king in waiting David, not, rightly thinking, want the blood of a yesterday king Saul, on his hands or conscience, to Apostle Paul retracting wishing evil of being struck dead upon the high priest Ananias. All those verses you proof-texted, have nothing to do with expressing a sharp verbal disapproval or criticism of someone because of their bad behaviour or for their behaving badly action(s)

How can one curse, whom God has not cursed? Or, how shall one defy, whom the God has not defied, hmm?

petra1, here is my free refresher Bible 101 lesson and fyi for you, there is something called the "boomerang repercussion" effect. Now, listen and re-learn this real good, which is that, you never wish for someone what you wouldn't wish yourself, and that is because of this same thing known as the "boomerang repercussion" effect. Dont ever, say it is an error, which carries a curse, because whatever is initiated, so shall it boomerang back to the sender.

Time is not a best ally, if it were, I gladly would have delved into an "... the law and the prophets ..." exegete and hermeneutic, and share how the least in the kingdom is greater than John the Baptist, yet of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist, the prophet.

You have have been taken in by all that smokes and mirrors, when God has given you power, love and sound mind so to have you make good judgment such that you shouldn't and wouldn't have to let anyone pull the wool over your eyes.

You modern pastors are clowns. Suit wearing clowns.

I am sure there were people like you saying the same thing when Jesus was rebuking the Pharisees. All of a sudden you whip out bible verses to scare and stop dissent.

First question. Who anointed you? One conman goes and anoints another burgeoning conman and both now claim to be anointed in scamming people and parting them from their money.
It's funny how that anointing never lets you speak up against politicians thieving money and sitting in the front row of your churches and giving you a share of their stolen wealth. Cecelia Ibru before she was caught was gallivanting about with Redeem Church hierarchy and at no time did their anointing tell them to distance from her. Even Pastor Ize Iyamu will claim to also be an anointed man of God. I even hear that Paul Enenche who was shouting about building churches in a recent video was known to go about in different government parastatals praying for civil servants in high positions in Abuja and hustling his own money. Some of them were later caught with their hands in the till. Anointing my ass.

Second question. Why do you think we should criticize politicians and imams but leave your pastors out? So you want to be able to criticise other religious and secular leaders and insult them when they do something you don't agree with but don't want the same to be done to yours? You are a clown cheesy cheesy

When they insult Buhari they don't remember that elders should be respected. But as soon as their own erring pastors are insulted too they start screaming and playing the respect card. Nonsense.

Who exactly is or are the ANOINTED?

The answer is every believer is. Not any pastor or prophet. Every believer is a pastor/prophet. God doesn’t call and anoint anyone specifically or specially anymore like he did in the Old Testament. Gods spirit in every believer is the anointing.

Let's Learn to Remove our Mouth From God's Servant! GOD who Called them knows How to Deal with them if they Go Astray..

You Attract and Acquire Trouble and Curses when you open your Tongue anyhow.

Numbers 16:1-5
1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:
5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

Numbers 16:28-33
28 And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.
30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

Numbers 12:1-10
1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

2 Kings 2:23-25
23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.
24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
25 And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

All these from the old expired covenant of the old testament. In the new testament did u not see where Stephen was stoned to death? All the disciples were executed

LET ME ASK A QUESTION THAT I FEEL HAS BEEN ON THE MIND OF SO MANY PEOPLE.
WHY DOES TRIBALLAND MAKE PEOPLE SWEAR THEY ARE MUSLIMS BEFORE THEY CAN COMMENT ON A MUSLIM THREAD, BUT ON A CHRISTIAN THREAD, THERE IS NO SUCH CAVEAT, WARNING OR THE LIKES.
SEUN, SEUN, SEUN, HOW MANY TIMES DID I CALL YOUR NAME?
YOU BETTER FEAR THE ALMIGHTY AND REMOVE THAT RUBBISH ON MUSLIM THREAD.

TO THINK THAT HE EVEN MAKES ANYBODY THAT WANTS TO COMMENT SAY THE "SHAHADA" BEFORE COMMENTING THERE BUT LEAVES CHRISTIAN THREADS FOR EVERY DISSENTER, ATHEIST, HATER, ANTICHRIST AND THE LIKE TO COMMENT WHATEVER THEY WANT TO

MR SEUN, IT'S BETTER YOU REMOVE THAT STUPID AND MINDLESS RESTRICTION OF MUSLIM THREADS OR YOU PUT IT ON CHRISTIAN THREADS, DON'T ATTRACT CURSES TO YOURSELF angry angry
