Today, two graduates of the Umuahia talent factory, The Diamond Football Academy, face off in the world's best league, as Villareal hosts Huesca.

Thank you Hon. Martins Iyke Apugo.

Philosopher1979:
Akinkunmi amoo gets his debut in Europe at last. He has been subbed in just now for hammarby. His European career starts at last

The debut I was keenly waiting for and although he played only 29mins or so, I liked what I saw the few times he was on the ball. He did lose the ball a few times (could put it down to early debut jitters) but he settled in quickly and even laid on a beautiful final third through pass that could have led to something for his side.

He was not afraid to go receive the ball. Started on the left... Went to the right as the half wore on and even was found coming centrally to receive the ball. The kid will grow into this team and exert more influence with time. An Okay debut. Welcome to Europe Amoo.

Shot 1: Amoo on the ball around the box.

Shot 2: Amoo free on the far right flank but his teammate didn't pick him out. Went for a central cross that resulted in a header that was off target.

Shot 3: The final score.

Ndidi playing center defense... Haaa.
this was exactly the same way Mikel career started going south wards under mourinho.

Henry Onyekuru on the bench for Monaco. Moses Simon starts for Nantes as both clubs get set to do battle in Ligue 1.

It's only temporary. No need to panic. Besides he is also comfortable at CB as he naturally evolved from a CB into a DM.

Chukwueze was asked not so long ago the one player he wishes to share the pitch with again and he said "Kelechi Nwakali".

Well, today he gets half his wish. B'cos today they will share the pitch as Opponents and not teammates. Lol.

Chuks is likely to start. Nwakali may begin from the bench. Time will tell. wink

Most of these teams that come from the championship don't last in the EPL...
West Brom don't exactly look like the kind of team that can quality players... Their squad, compared to the rest of the EPL teams isn't that good!

Then it means one thing only. He was simply left out of the squad. Now that is a bad thing. The one fear I mentioned only in passing which could sow the seeds of threat to his NT place in the near future.

If Iwobi doesn't feature for Everton enough this season, his place as our #10 is threatened. And with the other Midfield options coming good with time, we can shuffle and Iwobi would see himself on the bench.

But I believe he will fight back. This is just the start of the season. Time will tell.

Thank you Andy. I was hoping for another angle to this. Could be he is not up to speed fitness wise yet... But whatever the reason, I hope he bounces back fast. We need our first choice AM playing games.

Hmmm.... Never thought along this line. Iwobi likely to leave? Hmmm.... Another angle but is it possible? Could be fitness issues like Andy said. Well, time will tell.
