Ebube who who? U must be a lobi fan?

Chima is on Taye Taiwo level with that left. He can let it fly from anywhere
Funny you I'm not a fan of lobi tho I follow thier updates time to time
I got hooked on duru when I watched him vs sundowns in Caf cl,I've forgotten the year tho
Didn't really watch much of Chima but the few I did he looked average and not worth the hype as @ that time same as the former under 20 capt(forgotten he's name)

Generally it seems we find it hard to produce good left footed defenders in nigeria

Ndidi and Semi both starts in defence, Nacho only good enough for the bench

Yes he wasn't a UCL regular but he has a UCL Hattrick to his name. One of few Africans to do so. Others are Eto'o, Drogba, Aubameyang, Brahimi, Mane. Don't know if there is any other.

Also, the first and only African to bag a hattrick on his UCL debut. Yak was a striker really reckoned with but just never had those good clutch moments for Nigeria despite him occupying third in Nigeria's all time top scorers list with 21 international goals.

daveP:
Yeah. Also if he was into UCL football. But still yet, that guy don pay hin dues. He deserves to be in any discussion, especially as he is a standard for EPl for SE. grin

Where are those who said he was 30 in 2005?

Come and see a 45 years old still planning professional football as a striker!

Obasi was just too good ,abeg. Combination of Utaka and Osaze. Injury hampered his career.

So, if they converts Ndidi to CB at his club would he still play DM for us when we are littered with great choices in that area ?

Iheanacho will play 30 matches this season but out of the 30 matches 25 will be for 30 minutes. He will score 8 goals with 5 assists and pundits will say he is mediocre which is basically unfair.
He should leave leicester to where he will be given game time. They are not giving him a fair chance. The Spanish league will be good for his style of play. Iheanach will score 20 goals a seasin if he is given a chance

Chai. I guess that's why. But myself, i no dey that table again o. The Yak and Odemwingie got some crazy stats that i can't ignore going forward.

Again Caf dey dull too. See european youngsters hitting 70caps before age 27. Kon add Nations League again.

Many of the next gen of African stars never pass 20caps yet in 4years. Not necessarily about results, but its time something is done in that regard.

Drog and Yaya with over 100 caps over a span of almost 2decades is kinda stale to me. Averagely 5games/year. Naaaah.

Something needs be done.

After this campaign most likely. Two of them should get a new top team. I want to believe they'll take top advantage of this european competition to up their profile at least to a great influential level. Leicester cannot play ageing Vardy always, now that Europa is involved. Let's watch out for double figures with longer game time. Tired of seeing them in blue tho.

forget nacho. He is not ambitious enough and don't wanna leave his comfort zone (england).

Haba, Drog played for about 12 years, same as Yaya. E no close to 20 o. This isn't really about CAF, UEFA have more countries so they play more games during WC/Euro qualifiers. During the FIFA window most UEFA countries play 2 games while African countries find it hard to even play one game if there's no qualifier. African countries need to do better and get their teams more involved

Man is 27years and he's still stuck somewhere in the Portuguese league, I guess he so good that European scouts don't want him for their teams

The question should be is he playing and racking up good digits. After all , Ndidi has not really performed in GWG. I will rather play a functioning DM rather than play a CB in that position. Ndidi ball carrying ability is poor.
