I made the worst Akara on earth today. It was flat and soaked all my oil. What could have gone wrong foodies/chefs.

The pics came out so nice.

To the bone of contention, Either u added too much water to the beans when grinding or The oil didn't get to a certain temperature before u started frying.

You might have added to much water to the bean paste or when grinding.
Make sure the batter is thick next time.

Thanks. I think it is the water ratio. It couldn't stick together during frying. The ones in the pics were the only ones that came out whole

Thanks. It might be during grinding. I noticed some water separated from the beans after whisking. I'll give it another shot
