If not that Nigerian voters are fools, who will be reading about Tinubu this and Tinubu that?

Does Tinubu have more than one voter's card?

Trump and Biden are busy selling their candidacies to American voters but in Nigeria, it's all about this person and that person.

Bunch of idiots here are also fighting over nonsense when they can't even afford three good meals a day.

Fools. sad

Obaseki shouldn't have responded. Do you wonder why Tinubu said this at the election week and not before? Obaseki should have allowed Wike or Atiku to respond. These gimmicks are meant to distract him and they are working.

Oshiomole was Buhari and Tinubu's candidate and Obaseki openly challenged him, which is equivalent to challenging the President and Tinubu. He also insulted Tinubu by saying Edo is not Lagos. He further insulted the President by announcing his resignation from APC at the Presidential villa. That said, win or lose, Obaseki needs to make peace with Tinubu, Oshiomole and co. If he loses on Saturday, that is the end of his political career and international appointments. I feel for him. Oshiomole, hate him or love him, is a dogged fighter and has never lost any battle in his professional life. This election would either further mystify him or totally demystify. The stakes are too high.
see your mouth, you want obaseki to be like ambode abi? Or you think Tinubu didn't know about his disqualification by oshiomole.

Obaseki is a political starter and he will be taught some political lessons this coming Saturday. This man went to Bourdillon with some governors
to beg Asiwaju Tinubu to talk to Oshiomole to allow him fly the party's ticket when he sensed that he would be denied the second term ticket. He begged and prostrated for Tinubu. He even made a statement eulogising Tinubu as his political leader and godfather. But now that he is flying the PDP ticket after he was disqualified Asiwaju is now a godfather who should not be allowed to extend his political empire to Edo State. What an irony!!

Someone that is fooling himself, his special assistants would put him in more trouble.
Obaseki is not wise...

Why are they trying to do that overnight?

This Ugly Obaseki should stop attacking everyone in sight and trying to manipulate people's brain into thinking he is fighting for them, he i sjust like Donald Trump, a Con-man.

Obaseki should use his PERFORMANCE to Campaign, not inciting peole by claiming he is fighting God-Fatherism, or fighting Tinubu.
It is because he has failed and has NOTHING to show for his wasteful four years as Governor, that he is so preoccupied with people like Tinubu or is he contesting against Tinubu?

After Governor Raji Fashola's first term in Lagos, Tinubu (God-father) tried everything he could, to prevent Fashola from having a second term but Fashola appealed to Lagosians, USING HIS FIRST TERM PERFORMANCE and Lagosians then told Tinubu that they would rather vote for the opposition PDP, than vote for any other person than Fashola.
That is PERFORMANCE speaking on your behalf, not abusing those who are not even your opponent.

It is ONLY STELLAR PERFORMANCE that should win Obaseki a second term, not thuggery, looting, abuse of Power and silencing other. undecided
Obviosuly, with using #6Billion to buy PDP ticket, Obaseki has shown how DESPERATE and CORRUPT he is and we Edo people will kick hom out come Saturday, enough of his rascality and looting

Time shall tell how ? To mean you're throwing your support right ?

I don't know what's wrong with some blacks or Africans. Sth seem to be fundamentally wrong with the Nigerian Africans.

To see that your perception goes this way and you still root for this same class of people is sickening without hope of healing.

I may not support any politician in Nigeria cos they never act like they are worthy to be discussed of a human who knows where he is going : infact I'm indifferent. But that doesn't mean one wouldn't or isn't to use his or her reason and cognitive sense expected of a human. And that' should basically mean to support what the PDP fellow represented in that approach towards the other creature.

His statement is genuine and more to be lauded for being against godfatherism. And it becomes pertinent seeing that that was and is a cancer to any nation; as it has been to Nigeria now which now looks like sh*t.

Una no get future - and no ever want to get future ?

See as the country look like.

In this 21st century ? In this era ?

Just look at.

It's been said (or at least a rumour or faulty postulation) that in about 10years time rapture is to happen. And na so naija go still dey do till e happen ?

The first time Tinubu political empire extended to Edo State was when he sponsored Wole Olanipekun for Oshiomole election tribunal which he won at the appeal court. That was when AC took hold of Edo State until this day and Oshiomole performed well in terms of governance in Edo State.

Tinubu has the right to speak in Edo election because he is a leader of the APC party and he will do what he can for their candidate to win just as Atiku spoke in support of Obaseki when he asked Edo people to vote for him.

I am sure by Sunday evening, all this noise will stop about Edo and we will at least have a hint of the candidate that will be elected.
only during his first tenure he did well ,but second tenure,e started paying the debt of the election he wan to the god father's

From all indications, if the results do not go well for PDP, it would be tagged "rigged" but if PDP wins, it will be democracy has come to stay.
This election will certainly go beyond Saturday, 19th September, 2020. It would be eventually settled in the law courts. This is becoming a recurring decimal in the political history of this country.
Let's just calm down and watch as events unfold.

Well, Obaseki made himself to what he would be, he cant ever be like Ambode!.
When you start abusing your Powers and telling those who put you in Office, those who sacrificed "Political Capital" that took them decades to amass, on you and start telling them they cant come to thei Ancestral home without your permission, you will certainly be worse than Ambode.

Ambode did not remove the Roof of the State Assembly like Obaseki did
Ambode did not Off-load a 30Ton Truck of Granite at the gates of the State Assembly to prevent elected officials from sitting
Ambode did not rule his state with just four elected Officials while barring close to the other twenty elected Officials
Ambode did not use #6Billion to buy Governorship aspirant slot from an opposition party
Ambode did not for one day, insult Tinubu (#Omoluabi), despite travails in the hands of Tinubu
Ambode did not tell Tinubu or Fashola that they cannot visit their House or enter Lagos without his Permission
All the above things are what Obaseki is guilty of.

So, comapring Obaseki's situation to Ambode's situation is a case of Apples and Oranges.
Ambode will still be rehabillitated by APC and he will be compensated, that l am certain about because he conducted himself with dignity, during his trying times.

Either way, Obaseki is finished Politically, even the PDP bigwigs like Wike are very wary and untrusting of him, you can see that Wike has stepped back and given him some distance, despite the fact that he would like PDP to control more states, including Edo.
