Private universities offer better qualitative education in Nigeria.

Besides when a graduate of a private uni tells you his age is 26 you will see it on his face but graduates of public uni who who spent additional 3 years in school due to strikes will graduate at 30+ and be claiming to be 26years old when it's time to go for job interviews!

I have had the opportunity of interviewing both graduates of private and public universities in Nigeria...the difference is clear like 7Up.

You went to Unilag and you enjoyed your freedom, did what you like, however you like it but see nothing wrong in a private school caging adults. No phones, no gf/bf relationships but it's on record that the most wayward guys and ladies are found in P.Unis like CU, Babcock and the likes.

You can't try the rubbish CU is doing to adults over 18yrs in some Public Junior Secondary Schools.. you wan die?

In everything we do in life, appearance matters, that is the first impression you gave to your listener before any other thing. No Nigerian university will allow him to defend his project with that appearance, even if they do, they will probably score him low in that area. Do you know that in Job interview or project defence/presentation, there is a score for appearance/dressing? I 100% agree with you that appearance is important...BUT that doesn't mean they should force him to shave...for crying out loud this is someone that's about to graduate they are treating like he's 17...if I went for an interview and I had full hair and beards...that alone is not a good appearance but I'm sure no interviewer will now say "oya you must cut your hair before we interview you" that's stupid and a controlling behavior...what they will do is probably reduce point or not even take my interview serious cos I don't look like someone they want for the job...same thing the cu lecturers could have done...subtract points for his appearance...mention it to him that it's not good to look like that and advice him but don't fucking force someone that's above 18 to go and shave...that mentality is what's killing cu graduates
