Very hilarious. Meanwhile during my postgraduate degree in a UK Uni, there was no appearance nor dress code. Loads of persons wore shorts, winter jackets, even leggings. Some white dudes had earrings on. And this was in a very professional medical programme. The African society is just a different one.

How is Nigeria in the committee of nations and Nigerian Universities faring among world universities? What language do you speak at work isn't it English? Allowing phones has nothing to do deprivation of dignity. It is simply part of the terms and conditions of a university. Unconventional but not undignifying.

Having to speak English to communicate is a part of culture eroded. You shouldn't worsen it by wearing the full regalia of the British culture. You would simply lack identity.

Private universities offer better qualitative education in Nigeria.

Besides when a graduate of a private uni tells you his age is 26 you will see it on his face but graduates of public uni who who spent additional 3 years in school due to strikes will graduate at 30+ and be claiming to be 26years old when it's time to go for job interviews!

I have had the opportunity of interviewing both graduates of private and public universities in Nigeria...the difference is clear like 7Up.

Apart from the age factor what else...private uni. hardly withdraw students cos most of them are children of the zenith class..I have a lot of friends who couldn't make it in federal unis. but colourful, they made their 2.1
