Yes, and what has been their contributions to the development of our country. I'm not pessimistic but those with this privilege need not be celebrated here if they have no contributions to the progress and development of this country 14 Likes |

jidamsel43: True. If they can't help us in Nigeria, why do we spend time celebrating them? What's even worse is when we get tribal: "Igbo Amaka" here, "omoluabi" there. At the end of the day, dem no send us from here to there. They are all focused on serving their new found nations. Let them help us dismantle this hopeless structure in Nigeria (at least restructuring according to the independence plan) by getting their new nations to apply pressure on our government. 1 Like |

Good citizens that make Nigeria proud are mainly Southerners and Christians. Only few Muslims from SW who are entangled with Christians. What about HausaFulanis Muslims of the North....?? Nothing..!! EXCEPT Bandits, Boko Haram, Fulani-Herdsmen killers, looters, Bloodthirsty leaders with body bags mentality. So how can Nigeria be ever great with Northern Muslims in Charge...who have never been useful to the Western world in leadership except only in Nigeria politics of Quota system, Federal character, religion and rigging of elections for them....? 4 Likes |

Sammy07: Guy don't go there. I am Yoruba and proud. I know the UK and USA well. The US is merely capitalism without heart, soul or compassion. UK white folks are, by a Country mile, the most tolerant and liberal in the world. Take that to the bank. Whereas, in comparison, the USA is very racist towards ordinary black folks with many key institutions in the USA, like her Police force, inherently and institutionally racist. If you quantify everything in terms of your Nigerian outlook, i.e copious wealth for a few in elite professional and public/political position, then of course you'd shout USA. If however you are talking about a dignified and satisfactory existence for every individual, regardless of background, colour, sex, religion or talent, /specialist skill/education, then the UK is miles ahead of the USA. Talk when the USA has anything like the NHS or argue when the USA can give all unemployed folks a living allowance and even pay their rent. You don't judge a Country by how it treats it privileved class. It is Nigerians who do that because of our national background. You judge a nation by how best it serves the needs of all her citizens.
