Since the campaign started in July, there has been no rest for the two major candidates and their parties. By the time campaign ends on Thursday night, the two politicians and their teams would have visited the entire 192 wards in the state. From Ugbogui in Ovia north east local government area (LGA) to Lampese in Akoko Edo LGA to Afuda in Igueben LGA, the candidates combed the nooks and crannies of the state, selling their programmes and soliciting votes.https://www.thecable.ng/analysis-the-battleground-comfort-zones-how-obaseki-ize-iyamu-stand-across-lgas

I hate this kind of election where we can not determine who will win before the election.... Nah the masses In Edo.State.go suffer this.kind of the election...because there will be all kind of struggle and fighting for territory....on like some state like The southeastern region...northerners and the southwestern election that we can determine the winner from the look of things.... Edo people, pls vote wisely....don't vote because of politicians campaign....this is a political gimmick... |

Very good and to a large extent unbiased analysis. The election will be determined by the finest of margins. |

I'll follow this analysis. Most attention should be on Edo south tomorrow. That's the real battleground. PDP stands a good chance in Edo Central and APC in Edo North. |

garfield1:Oga don't mislead people here, abeg. Especially those who might not be able to read the whole piece. It wasn't stated anywhere in the analysis that pastor will win, neither was obaseki touted as likely winner. But if you follow the analysis very well, you'll see that pdp stands better chance in edo south and central than apc. |

The reality of Saturday PDP and APC re out on Election day to Rig.nigeria election is always for the highest and smartest riggers. What Apc need is 40% grassroot support in any Election, FG will add the 20% needed to win. Kogi case is an exception though, cos APC didnt have up to 30% grasssroot support . kogi election was a battle between Pdp ,people vs federal Might, the security agencies were the man of the match for kogi election. In Edo election APC have up to 45% grassroot support, if you Add federal might might to the equation, it means Ize iyamu is sure of victory. If you want to beat APC in election, neutralize or reduce their grassroot support first the Federal power might not be enough to balance the equation.that's why it is hard for Federal govt to rig south east region and part of south south region because majority dont like Apc But dont go to sleep because the plan B is always the court process. The major reason why APC won bayelsa was they had 60 % of the grassroot supports when federal might was added to the Equation it was a landslide victory for APC in a state pdp have been ruling since 1999 |

PDP will win Oredo, ikpoba oka,Egor, ovia north east, ovia south west,Esan north east,Esan south east,Esan west,Esan central, igueben, akoko Edo,and owan east.Note:The margin of win in Oredo, ikpoba okha,Egor, and all d local govts in Edo central is going to be very wide for PDP therefore Obaseki will carry the day |

Many call ize iyamu a grass root politician forgetting his performance was because he was in a popular party like pdp and pdp structures worked for him. Some politicians especially from the APC who eyeing the governorship seat in 4 years will rather allow obaseki complete his four years than vote a new person as witnessed in kogi and anambra. |
