Picked two of three CAINAO order via turkey post today that arrived destination country 14/09/20

All were ordered between August 30 - sept 1st.

Yet to receive the one that has been on arrived destination country since August 24th.

Ordered on 9th July
Shipped 19th jully
dispatched 30th July

Just got to the post office (Abuja Area 1) and picked my phone this morning.

I placed my order 18th of last month. I am still expecting my drone though.

By the way, I was charged only 500 naira for the phone. Was lucky enough customs people didn't get a hold of it.

Why do I have a feeling that phones are being particularly targeted and stolen?? I suspect primarily the people (staff) offloading and sorting these items immediately they arrive Nigeria. The phones are probably stolen before they are registered into Nipost database. Either the offloaders divert the phones (gargets) or they collaborate with customs officers to steal these items. I doubt that these phones are stolen at the local post office.

I ordered an LG G6 mobile (using AESS) on the 3rd of June. Dispatched to overseas on 8th July. Till date, I haven't seen the item. I have a friend who opened dispute few days before me, his too was a phone, although his tracking showed that the phone had arrived Nigeria. I have received 6 - 7 other items shipped using AESS which were ordered weeks after placing order for the phone. I've been refunded for the phone but I'm feeling bad for the seller. I have reordered another phone, but using DHL this time, the seller who I initially bought the G6 has the new phone I bought, but I couldn't dare order from him cuz I have already acquired a bad impression from him. It's really bad if these phones are being deliberately kept from the buyers and not returned to the sellers. I don't want to believe that Nigeria has really gotten this rotten i.e. Govt. officials reducing themselves to petty thieves.

It is one thing to steal public funds, it's is another thing entirely to steal petty items simply because they are made to cross your path.

Which shipping logistics did you use?
I also collect my items using same post office you mentioned.

At the bolded is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, I expressed the same concern earlier today, cos I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that 85% of items never delivered are phones.

If someone can explain this fact I'll be glad.

How can we make this known to the concerned authorities. This is bad and should be condemned.

Unfortunately we can't provide proof cos we have no access to where these things are being done.

We only hope someone highly placed enough to make changes is reading this and will preoffer some drastic changes.

The same with the attitude of some PO staffs that will dump packages if they do not know the owners personally, or if such an individual doesn't "settle" when they come to pick their items. It's unfortunate but we pray we get to the promised land soon enough....

Did you check the processing time of the store before you ordered?

If it is still within the processing time stipulated by the store you can't file for a dispute

You wait. The seller will ship out within this time. He still has 3 days as stipulated by the processing time.

Are you asking how you would know what particular post odfice your order is at? At the PO, they told me thay they don't look at zip code. Instead they Google the address that you filled. When they find it on Google maps they would dispatch it to a post office closest to that address. To know that then use track24. net to track it. You should see the location of the area where your order arrived, looking like NG...something something. When you get that, you can come here and ask where you can find it.

lol, you are being way too pessimistic. Because the phone hasn't arrived doesn't mean it won't or has been hijacked. Didn't you see the post above saying he collected his phone from his post office? There is no sequence to how order get delivered

Since my phone I ordered June 4th did not come I opened dispute and just got refunded and have decided to source for it locally from resellers. I don't know if it is Nipost that is holding it down but I hope it comes for the good of the seller since it is now a crime to order phone courtesy of the theives in Nipost.

4 days is not too late yet. I believe it's still within the allowable time limit for shipping of an item after payment. AliExpress gives a time limit for sellers to ship item beyond which the order is automatically cancelled and you will be refunded your money. The import of that is negative rating of the seller on AE rating, not even the buyer's. So sellers try to avoid delaying shipping items after payment.

You should click on your order to check the remaining days for shipping. It usually does not exceed 10 days, may be longer during this covid era.
