My boy will be loved by Cologne fans because he plays like one of their legendary strikers, the one and only Lucas Podolski, and they have got similar physiques.

well since it's a friendly i don't think it's too soon for him to be invited. just look at it as a way of easing him in into the national team. same we did for kanu, iheanacho and osimhen

It's too early.

Good news for Tomori and co. At least Tomori can easily run back to Canada. Tammy Abraham is f**ked either ways, because he will be benched on both sides grin So let him kukuma stick with the three Rabbits grin
Tammy isn't eligible again.

Which yardstick? He won the best player in Austrian league just 4 seasons after Sane won it and got transferred to Southampton. Keita won the same award a season before he won it.

Prior to that he finished in the top 3 highest goal scorer in Israel and Austria league.

I don't know if your yardstick is better than those who now scout players from Austria league.

Do you know that monk is not in every hood?

Please can you give more insight about him
Don't seem to know him

Former Naija U-17 Cadet international. Class of 2016/2017. Was an invitee in camp.

Top scorer in the 2020 Latvian Virsliga with 15 goals in 15 starts (also 15 games) with 9 matchdays still to play.

The last top scorer in the league (2019 season) played over 20 games and could only score 15. Tolu was already on 15 goals by his 15th game. He tore that league to pieces.

Meanwhile... Ladies and Gentlemen...

He has been unveiled officially.

FC Koln signs him on loan.

FC Koln signs Tolu, confirms move

From FC Koln site:

FC Köln signed Tolu Arokodare. The 19-year-old striker comes from the Latvian first division club Valmiera FC and will play on loan for FC until the end of the season.

“Tolu is a young striker who is capable of development and who has a lot of good qualities: He's athletic, strong and fast. Of course he will have to get used to the Bundesliga level. The advantage here is that he is in rhythm with the game and comes to us fully motivated,” says FC Managing Director Horst Heldt .

The 1.97 meter tall center forward has scored 15 goals in 16 games since the beginning of the season in the Virsliga in June.

Tolu Arokodare says: “For me, a dream comes true. I've always wanted to play in the Bundesliga. I want to score a lot of goals for FC and develop personally. I'm really looking forward to it.”

Tolu Arokodare was born on November 23, 2000 in Festac, Nigeria. The attacker was trained in his home country. He started playing football at the Kash Academy, played at the International Academy during his school days and then for Box 2 Box FC in Lagos.

Forget Awoniyi, many strikers have left him behind. He and Isaac Success have gone off my radar. Should Tolu maintain his form, with Terem, Maja, Nwankwo and Iheanacho all playing in the best leagues, then, Awoniyi will never smell the national team.

You be God.

More on Tolu Arokodare's Move

The report from Koln said it is loan but they didn't mention anything about an option to buy.

His former club, Valmiera just announced his departure and also didn't mention anything about it being a loan. They said their goodbyes.

I believe the option-to-buy option could be activated by performances.
Tolu Arokodare Loan move to FC Koln turning permanent is likely performance based. So this is a huge step-up and big chance for Tolu to show his stuff in Germany.

The leap is bloody huge. All the way from Latvia in the backwaters of Europe to a Top 5 league. A league that currently boasts the Champions of Europe. This must be up there with the biggest transfer move based on league levels this window. Absolute super leap.

He replaces Jhon Cordoba who joined Hertha Berlin SC from FC Koln.

Wishing Tolu all the very best. Time for his 1.97m frame to light things up on a much bigger level. wink
