It's been a long story with me and my car.. but I'm driving it now .. and it drives extremely great after some few changes ... I had to hold the dealer that sold the car to me and everyone involved with the deal , they tried to fight back .. but we came to a conclusion which is they must buy me a new engine and a new gear ... I just got the car back recently after they've changed the gear and the engine... And the car is just like new now . And it drives well ..

The gear oil leaks .. this car has given me the worst experience about BMW cars. .. and also a money pit .. my mechanic has cash out on my head

I greet the house, I was searching online for the price of BMW 525i 2004 model steering rack when I saw this thread, please my car ATF oil dries up every morning and I do top it up, I went to my BMW mechanic this morning he just told me that it's the steering rack I'll need to change and he was trying to call his contact at ladipo to know the price. Please have anyone here experience such before and is it truly the steering rack that's making the oil lick.


Also my vehicle finds it difficult climbing hilly roads, if I don't move with speed before getting to the hilly place it won't go, he told me it's the gear, but all the causes I read online gear wasn't part of any of them. Please have anybody experienced this and what can be the likely solution. Thank you.

question 4 you, did he go under your car to check the steering rack? Did he check by your car tyres at teh tirode end to see leaks? Did he check your power steering pump?

Yes, e was the one that bought steering rack rubber for it cus of the leakage too, but the leakage continued
