Giggs is better than Solskjaer but that is not even the point. It is not about getting any manager that is better than Solskjaer but about getting a manager that will take us back to the top.

You can get another average manager who is just a little better than Solskjaer and nothing will change. We need a really good manager and not just anybody better than Solskjaer. If not we will be wasting another 2-3 years only to get back to the same position.

Different situations. Giggs was appointed 4 games to the end of the season and had 2 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss which was not bad. Ole was appointed midseason which enabled him to compile a good record over a number of months.

Also, after the Moyes debacle which was at least partially due to his inexperience managing a big club nobody wanted to risk an inexperienced manager like Giggs when LVG was available.

Lastly, Pochettino is not LVG.
