So how do the manufacturers of prepaid meters in Nigeria and abroad pay their employees since we want their products(the meters) for free?

1.I used to pay estimated bills for several years.

2.Even with meter, people bypass, plus people are still complaining that the cost per kWh is still too high

3.Power is in private hands. Only way they are going to fix it is from our pockets. They also need cash to keep on maintaining the infrastructure on a yearly basis.

4.Government controlling the price, and keeping it below the cost rice of production is why we have issues with power and why we have issues with investment

Useless and idiotic government..What's happening in Edo is a proof that APC is totally and completely rejected in Nigeria

The government is unfair to it's citizens. Paying for services not rendered. Simply provide pre-paid metre for all electricity users and see if any one would complain. No light, no charges

I'm no fan of the government, but regarding power, they can't do much. Not since power got privatized

What they are doing, by raising the prices, is by allowing discos and gencos to charge above the cost of production so at least they start making profits, and as a result, start investing in more improved power infrastructure...which should lead to better power supply.

We were paying N20-30 per kwh fr something that cost 53 naira per kwh to produce. Meaning discos and gencos were not making a profit. And thus, no money to make improvements, and thus no light. Government was taking loans to help cover the deficit, which even then were not enough.

What a load of rubbish. .

Prior to September, 3k recharge would give me 114 units but after the increase, it became 61units.
And now they saw it will increase further? God punish all of una.

CAC registration for LLC is Max 2 weeks.
I can do it for you, I charge a token for my service.
The certificate pick up office is the CAC office at Alausa Lagos State, I deliver the
• Certificate,
• Momerandum & Article of association,
• Remita payment receipt,
• Firs stamp duty certificate,
• Name reservation receipt & approval,
• Firs Tax identification number
• Jtb Tax identification number
to the owner in person for those residing in Lagos, while courier service for other states.

Through taxation, citizens are granted room to pay for these basic amenities at a reduced cost. What do you think are the reasons for Medicaid and Medicare? Is it to make Americans pay above or below for healthy care? Una shame De shame me oga African socialist.

And Americans pay taxes at rates higher than that of the Nigerian, that's why they can afford medicaid and medicare (and both are for really poor people, not every hospital or doctor will treat medicaid patients, it doesn't pay them)

Us tax rates are between 10-37% depending on income bracket.US tax to gdp ratio is 24% Nigeria? 0-24%, with a tax to gdp ratio of 5.8%

Our shoe salesman is paying tax, all the more reason why he has to make a profit, and why the person pricing his shoe at 10000 is cheating him

You cannot produce power at 53kwh , sell at 30 naira per kwh, and expect a profit to pay taxes, and other fees....which the discos and genocs too have to pay..plus staff salaries, staff taxes, etc etc.

Infact, all the DISCOS have been running at a loss. And government has had to take loans to keep some of them afloat, and even then...
