Insigne on Osimhen

Insigne: “Osimhen's arrival helped us. Victor has great speed. He has different and complementary characteristics to me and Dries. Sometimes he reminds me of Cavani because of his ability to attack the goal, and because of his physical strength.”

Start or not, he is a key player.

Is Ziyech among the 4 players I mentioned?

Tiago is world class but can he still run? I want to see him play first

Football na experience

You all saw him in the champions league

He should also make sure he scores. That's what they will use to judge him at the end of the season.

Yes. Covid-19. He was one of the two players affected. He is isolating and recovering.

Nice to have you back on this moniker. grin

And what fine easy goal by Simon. No one picked him out at all. Lol.
FIFA21 better release his card as we have seen some others. I want to check what pace rating they gave him. grin B'cos Simon should be 90+ pace. wink

Yes, people don't like Akpoguma mainly because he made us his second choice, but, putting football ahead of sentiment, at the long run, I will choose him ahead of Ekong and Omerou. You can't overlook a starter in the Bundesliga for players in the championship and Segunda.

I hope their paper works get sorted out before January
Chris baba I love Kevin Akpoguma cos I followed him and Felix passionately cos I was surprised seeing a Nigerian(Kevin)captained Germany in World Cup.

Kevin is good but has been average in bundesliga.I really rate him then but as at now I don't and coming to eagles is something great. It will definitely give us options.

Kevin or any FB coming should prove themselves in GWG,playing regularly in bundesliga no doubt is a plus but they are coming to displace WC, Afcon players and remember Ekong and Omeruo had good season though they need to buckle up,playing in championship or segunda is not encouraging cos it is going to be minus.

Good to have Leon Balogun,Troost Ekong,Kenneth Omeruo,Semi Ajayi,Chiedozie Awaziem and possibly Kevin Akpoguma,Felix Uduokhai,Jordan Torunarigha and Tosin Adarabioyo.

Walahi Rohr must win Afcon.

Lad is having some doubts about his international future. Also there's the talk of him considering seeing himself getting into the Austria U-21s.

Meanwhile... It is happening. Almost done indeed. Ekong is joining Watford.

Not happy but I have to still support him. He is one of our most important players especially in defence. The only positive I can take from this is that he does well with Watford and get EPL clubs' attention from there or that he goes up with Watford.

Meanwhile... Incoming news is Kenneth Omeruo may just be on his way out of Leganes afterall. Nothing much yet but news still incoming. wink

Ekong to Watford is both shocking and annoying. .
From SerieA to championship!

There's no guarantee whatsoever that Watford will be promoted self..

If these German boys come in and perform better,Rohr must be bold and bench Ekong!

Actually I don't want to post his actual full message here coz it's private. But let me elucidate a bit more.

His doubts stem from the fact that he thinks he may not get enough chances with the Super Eagles and that if he is capped just once for Nigeria, then it will jeopardize his chances with Austria U-21 where he thinks he could get more games.
This is a lad that Rohr contacted and assured him of chances provided he keeps proving himself going forward. But I guess the lad has looked at our other GK options and sees that he may not stand a chance to get enough games. He made this decision after consulting his parents and also thinking about it.

So Danny, it is the other way round. It is not a question of our quality but we are obviously on the up. It is a question of Tobias' faith in himself to compete.

If they outperform Ekong enough, then he will be benched. But until then... We watch.

Still wishing Ekong the best. Just hoping the end of all this ends up with an EPL move in 2021.

Well,if that's the case, his reasons are valid enough...
Truly,we have some decent options in the GK role at the moment...but only Uzoho is a guaranteed starter...

All the best to him anyway...
