There was pandemonium Monday night when two out of a three-man gang were lynched along Marian road after robbing Sunnytex Supermarket, opposite Lion’s park in Calabar, Cross River.

Vanguard gathered that the incident occurred at about 9:00 pm at Sunnytex near Lion’s park when three unidentified gunmen stormed the shop to rob but luck ran out on them as people in the neighbourhood who noticed them during the operation raised an alarm and went after them immediately they came out from their victims’ Supermarket.

An eyewitness, Who simply identified himself as Olayinka told Vanguard that when they noticed the boys numbering about three were robbing at Sunnytex supermarket they alerted people in the neighbourhood and they laid siege on them. “When we noticed that the boys were robbing, we decided to lay siege and accost them, we were not afraid because we discovered they had locally-made gun.

“Immediately they came out from the supermarket the mob went after them, and raised the alarm, funny enough, one of them too joined the mob in shouting “thief ooo” not knowing that he has been marked already. “Two ran through a nearby street while the one who joined us in raising alarm wanted to escape via Rabana roundabout , he was apprehended and lynched.

“While the other was also lynched and set ablaze, the people in the area have suffered a lot in the hands of these boys and when you look at them, you will see they are just teenagers, but it’s unfortunate they are involved in armed robbery, I believe there are charms around their neck and waist. “The third person is still at large as some people have already gone after him and I believe he will be apprehended too because everyone around at alert as we speak,” he said.

Nigerians are fools. u kill criminals in the street and allow the main criminals in political offices to walk freely. Are u guys not fools. Who is making the economy difficult and unbearable for the masses? The politicians of course. If the economy is good, the number of thieves we have in the street will reduce.

please stop jungle justice. You can arrest them and handle them to the police...some of these street thieves might be innocent.

Bros lemme tell u in as much as I'm not agitating for jungle justice , I think it is the right thing to do to stem the tide . Some guys re just lazy .......they want quick cash . I have been a victim of house to house robbery member gang who invaded our street .
As big as American economy is yet they have robbers and criminal. I have a secondary school mate who have been in the USA 2016 with her husband and kids . She told me that USA is not meant for lazy hags bcus jobs are abound . But yet there are criminals ,who dont like to work bcus government pays them monthly or weekly stipends call security allowance .
So criminality is not about the government not providing jobs for the teeming population alone it's about individual , what you think. I have done all kinds of job in the past just to pay bills and put food on the table . But while I'm doing that look out for others and bf you know boom God placed me in a better position. So in as much as jungle justice is to be frowned at criminality should be shun at too at all levels .
Police sets this criminals free and they go back to unleash terrible mayhem on their accusers . So the only way to stem the tide is to guard there lives and property bcus police won't help them . So help God

Fvck mehnnnnnnnnnn

They should've been handed over to the police instead of setting them ablaze , I'm not a supporter of jungle justice
Our people are too quick to take laws in their own hands , seems it's pretty thieves with local guns just hand them over to the police instead , there's what's called changes , people change
Setting them ablaze won't help the situation, if only they were alive they'll be able to confess who sent them and who gave them the link , don't be surprised that someone in that supermarket must've given them the link else thieves don't just burst into a supermarket like that

Lights up my weed jare

If they are armed robbers caught in the act, then their carcass should be disposed in the evik forests or wilderness to be consumed by vultures...If you must earn a living via crime, then do not place the life of people under risk for your own needs, there are other crimes that do not risk people's lives... no mercy for armed robbers, death penalty is proportionate.
