Already 7.42% up premarket; bolded might not be feasible.

Yea...might not be feasible to get at the stated range but I monitored it all day yesterday and still missed when it kissed that range $33/$35.

Who knows, another kiss might happen, but may now be very difficult at this range.
But if it doesn't, man go look for another junction enter the bus be that. grin

To anyone new here.. I warn you never use or depend on chaka to trade international stocks especially if you're to monitor and know when to sell, someone here recommended trading 212 but I chose chaka instead, today, I lost $1000, shares I bought at $0.28 (JE). When the stock hit $1000 value, wanted to sell, that was when the app crashed, it refused to function, I went to the web as the value started dropping quickly and still couldn't sell because the glitch was on their website too, when I was able to get through, my share value had dropped to $17. God knows how I feel right now.

This is so painful to say the least!
As if the excessive charges are not enough, now this.
All sorts of discouragement here and there. But don't give up.
Once you can, begin to process your T212 account and patiently migrate.
Our fintechs are not ready yet.

@OakPearl.. My trading 212 is up and running now, won't make that expensive mistake again, I've learnt my lesson. I'll say it again to anyone that cares to listen "AVOID CHAKA BY ALL MEANS!" Nigerian fintech will destroy your trading opportunities, learn from my mistake. Imagine after loosing $1k I'll still pay them commission charges, crazy people.

In my opinion, bamboo is the best out of them all (Nigerian fintech). Once they can reduce their charges, they will get more people using them.

If I wanted to actively trade, I would use make use of Trading212 or etoro and bamboo for long term.

Are people not trading today? Why no comments? Learn to keep ur composure even when market is bad. U may only need to wait a little more while especially when its a viable company. Not when market goes ur way u make wild noise when it goes south u dissapear. Let's be consistent even when its challenging

I have lost 200 dollars today a and am not selling yet and I will not loose my sleep becos of that. I panickly sold my vxrt and OAS at a loss yesterday and they both rebounded today. And what I bought with it still came lower after a little up. What a day. The difference in this market compared to naija is that ur loss is not capped

Sorry about that, that stuff hurts. I think it’s advisable to always set a Stop Loss for every trade executed MOST ESPECIALLY for volatile stocks such as penny stocks and those with high beta, that way you don’t need to manually sell or constantly worry the swing.

True to your words, I've got a share that's gradually increasing in value + dividend payout, it wasn't like this in the beginning but the key is to study everything, know which one is worth the long term investment & short term investment equally. I'm also on the hunt for high value volatile penny shares, day trading is a side hustle aside my high dividend yield shares.

I'm using chaka and i never had such problems with them. Technical glitch can occurs in any system. It will be better to avoid tarnishing the image of indigenous technopreneurs for selfish reason.

I’m experiencing difficulties in setting up my Trading 212 account. I have submitted all documents and bank statement 3-4 weeks ago and it has not been done. Please does it usually take this long? Also sent an email but they said it’s taking a long time.

Comments like yours are the reason why Nigeria is stagnant, I lost money and you called it "Selfish reason"? My brother, I tire for some people. You wan make money or you want do charity?
Fintechs that charge an arm and a leg on transactions and yet crash when you want to make profit are not worth it. They charge for deposits, for making a share purchase, for selling the share too, even make some money from currency exchange in both directions. How will a retail investor make money will all these charges. You can't even day trade too. Abeg go where your costs can be minimal at least.

You are absolutely right. For me, some trading day's are "do nothing" or "siddon look" days. No need to fret too much over paper loss(es) caused by a general market downturn, if one did thorough DD, is convinced of the fundamentals of the stock(s) he/she owns and used Techinical analysis (TA) to determine the best entry and potential exit prices.

Good to have you here. I would suggest you focus initially on getting more knowledge of stock investment by reading some investment books and read the early parts of this thread. Once you are done equipping yourself about trading the stock market, you can open a stock trading account preferably with "Trading 212" in order to save money anytime you trade. You may start out by practicing trading on a "dummy" account before proceeding to trade on the "live" account.

When it comes to stock(s) to invest, you can either pick from your own research using sites like "fool.com", "cnbc.com","finance.yahoo.com" etc. or you will likely get information here, but you have to carry out due diligence (DD) by doing your own analysis before committing your funds to buy any stock(s).

You can invest only the money you don't need immediately because stock investment requires patience and profits may not be come when you expect, until the market recognizes the actual worth of the stock(s) you bought.

His comment and tone was a bit condescending but his central point - expect technical glitches anywhere - is correct. Yesterday, I had it with IG Markets, probably the UK's most popular and one of the most highly rated CFD brokers who happen to charge commissions at double the rate of some of its rivals. See a story below about the one we had in March in the middle of a highly volatile market:

Clients of IG Group are reporting problems using its trading terminals.

Clients of IG Group are reporting problems using its trading terminals. Several users are complaining about problems logging into or using the broker’s platforms on Thursday, and complaints about reaching to help phone lines also began to climb afternoon.

https://www.financemagnates.com/forex/clients-of-ig-group-suffer-system-wide-outage-broker-says-back-to-normal/

The Yanks have the same problem:

Users of a number of popular trading platforms on Monday complained of downed systems, slowness and an inability to trade, coming as two of the two most prominent stocks were trading on a split-adjusted basis for the first time.
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/popular-trading-platforms-td-ameritrade-robinhood-others-face-outages-as-tesla-and-apple-stocks-split-2020-08-31

You will eventually experience it at Trading 212 as well. Though I think the Naija fintech platforms are worse than I have experienced in the UK. They need to work on this.

But if "order execution risk" might make you lose a painful amount of money, perhaps rethink your strategy.

So sorry to hear about your loss. That is why it is better to use a standard brokerage firm that has trading platform where orders get filled swiftly and not all those useless Apps; trove, chaka etc. The US market is so volatile that you can't afford to even allow internet downtime else your portfolio can be wiped off within split of seconds.

I am happy that you are considering switching to Trading 212 which is okay but not the best for stock trading. Sadly most of the best online brokers don't accept your country e.g IB, TD Ameritade, Zack etc due to bad rating by US government in terms of security and terrorism. However, I will advise you to quickly close your account and build up your cashflow before migrating to T212.

The stock closed 44.39 though.

Corrections would happen later; but if the positive news comes, expect further upward trajectory before the correction - at which point traders must have booked profit.

...Sure, I agree it might still go further up. But in terms of long term investment, I will not advocate a buy at that price.
Technically, it looks like it will struggle to go above 50 & couple with coming US elections, the stock might revisit its recent low before the M&A announcement came.
