Bloodshot-

Storyline is a bit cliche with the usual Vin Diesel machismo radiating in almost every scene, but mehn are the fight scenes (especially the climactic) CRAZY!! We actually get to see good old Vinnie emote, which for me is a first. I am so used to seeing his dead pan expression in all his movies I have ever watched, so it is a pleasant change seeing him act like a human for once.

Great acting from the supporting cast, especially the Memento guy who has surprisingly aged well.

These climactic scenes below blew my mind. Whew!!

What We Do In The Shadows-

Taika Waititi can never get it wrong, especially after seeing what he did in Jojo Rabbit. He has mastered the art of dark humour very well and this absolutely hilarious movie is a tongue in cheek mockumentary that doesn't take itself seriously.

Fun facts about the movie:
The police men and women are real officers of the law. (Constable O'Leary is a natural. You will never believe she is not a professional actress.)

Stu is Taika's real life best buddy from high school

His real name is Stu

He is a real professional IT person

AND

He is not an actor, which is why he looks like he doesn't quite know how to act around vampires and werewolves. His shy, quiet expression is his real face because he was camera conscious and it fits perfectly in the movie as the only human in the midst of vampire friends.

The good thing about the movie is it's a mockumentary and the characters were allowed to look at the camera.

Absolutely hilarious movie. Funniest I have seen in a quite a while.
