COC was a hit all the matches were dope, with good endings, but you see the tribal chief Vs Jey, that was my match of the night. Roman is one scary heel almost like Brock, I almost cried after that fight.

Killing your cousin to send a message and make a point to everyone not to fvck with u and disrespect the title.

Also, with the smorgasbord of talent in the women's division, why was Asuka the one to take up bayley's challenge. angry

Should have been either Mandy or Deville if she was ready..both of them deserve top spots after that feud

Sonya is semi-retired and Mandy's not yet ready. Might have preferred Bianca or ruby.

Mandy looks ready asf to me, they made a mistake trading her to Raw, Deville will surely be back stronger but I like the options of Bianca or Ruby too even tho they have t really booked Ruby right

WWE Raw Reviews recaps and reactions

The Legend killer reaper
Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Christian, and Ric Flair were out to talk about Clash of Champions.
Shawn said that McIntyre didn’t know they were going to be there but said he’d understand if he was mad.
McIntyre came out and spoke nicely about each man in the ring, and then issued an open challenge for Raw’s roster who have yet to face him for the WWE title. Orton then appeared on the tron and said that he would be facing McIntyre again for the title because he’s Randy Orton and he gets what he wants. As for the other men, they would be getting what’s coming to them. He then left the building.
But we all know leaving the building means absolutely nothing in WWE.
Attempts at nostalgia rarely pop me, and this one was no different. Michaels and Flair have been all over WWE television as of late and I don’t really care about Big Show. I don’t mind Christian, though. They don’t trot him out 5 times a year to promote something so seeing him puts a smile on my face.
In the main event, Dolph Ziggler got the returning Bobby Roode a match for the WWE title. I was so incredibly not into this match that I happened to find Alexa Bliss tweeting about what happened on this show with Murphy, and found that more entertaining.
After McIntyre won, a cloaked figure with a janitor’s outfit entered the Legends Room with a chair and night vision goggles.
Surprise! It was Orton. Shocking? I know.
Here’s why I didn’t care about the match - Drew has spent a majority of his title reign facing guys who didn’t deserve title shots. This was no different in my mind. Okay yes this time it was an “open challenge” so that’s an out for WWE. It’s not an out for me. After last night’s incredible booking with the Roman Reigns/Jey Uso family stuff, we deserve better.
I don’t give a shit about Bobby Roode. Give me more compelling stuff for Raw. Raw is full of repetitive shit. I don’t need repetitive shit and then not compelling shit on top of that.
Orton’s part at the end was dastardly, and that I liked.
I have wanted a draft for a while, and I’m finally going to get it. However I’m going to talk about why the timing of it is bad.

Romeo and Juliet
They did a spot where Murphy had to leave his phone laying on a box so Rollins could take it.
On the King’s Court, Aalyah Mysterio said that she was still hurt by Rey’s words last week, but she said that anyone who comes in contact with Seth is bad and there’s something wrong with them.
Cue Seth on the tron, and he said that Aalyah wasn’t being truthful. He somehow got a screenshot of text between Murphy and Aalyah to production lightning quick. Aalyah ran to the back and Murphy confronted Seth, but Dominik tackled him and a match between the two was announced for later.
What a match that was. It had some shades of Murphy and Ali matches from 205 live. Dominik grabbed a kendo stick and was about to hit Murphy, but Aalyah came out and tried to stop him. Both she and Murphy tried to tell him it wasn’t what he thought, but Murphy took advantage of Dom’s back turned to him and scored a victory. It was a weird looking pin, which has been happening as of late in WWE.
He chased Murphy off and then told his sister she really is naive, and she slapped him. I’m enjoying Dominik and Murphy matches, but I know that adding the sister only continues this feud until Hell in a Cell, at least. Gosh it’s just been too long now.
This needs to end at Hell in a Cell.

Asuka def. Zelina Vega… again - Vega put a nice stretch submission on Asuka early into the match. Vega was smart to keep targeting the left arm like last night at Clash. They kept going back and forth and Vega got a near fall before Asuka put her foot on the bottom rope at the last moment. Vega didn’t do enough though, and got another Asuka Lock for her troubles.
I’m not a fan of losers getting immediate rematches. While Zelina did pretty well here, it would have made more sense to me if Asuka just laughed her off last night and held off on doing a rematch until the next pay-per-view. Very rarely do I get into these types of automatic rematches.

Keith Lee def. Andrade - Andrade started by telling Zelina off as she started crying and walked to the back. He issued an open challenge of his own and Keith Lee answered. Andrade was able to answer much of Lee’s offense, while Lee was able to ragdoll him around, and deliver a wicked Spirit Bomb to get the win. This was a quick match and I actually enjoyed it.
I had a thought that maybe they’d repair the relationship between Zelina and Andrade while Garza is out injured but nope they went full jerk with it. Looks like Andrade has himself a singles career until Garza returns, and I’m happy about it.

Crews, Ali, and Ricochet def. The Hurt Business - MVP said he didn’t know what was going through Crews’ mind as he keeps deciding to step to the Hurt Business. (I’d like to know too!) HI MUSTAFA ALI! Everyone brawled until the lights started flickering and RETRIBUTION’s logo appeared all over the place.
Everyone died for us, essentially. Big spots and at one point Ricochet dove onto Benjamin and looked like Benjamin’s shoulder went right into Ric’s spine. Ow. But Ali was able to get the victory for his team pinning MVP, which I believe he also did the last time they were in the ring together. Unfortunately, the babyfaces winning means that this feud will also be continuing. Another feud that needs to end by Hell in a Cell.

Aleister Black gets disqualified by a stupid referee - New music alert for Aleister Black. It’s a bit more screamo but I’ll reserve judgement until I hear it in my headphones. Can someone tell me why Aleister hates Kevin Owens so much? These guys are violent with each other and I do appreciate that. The ending was ridiculously stupid and Drake Wuertz is an idiot. (Not just in kayfabe.) So this feud will keep on going!

Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke def. Lana and Natalya - Latalya were complaining about not being given the tag titles since Shayna and Nia are out. Adam Pearce came out and said that they’d get a match between them and the new Raw signees. Mandy hit a frightening kick that almost could have led to an injury to Lana before she got the win. Let’s see what happens with this new tag team.

By the way - there’s a draft in two weeks but they’re already signing new people? What’s the point of two draft shows then?

R-Truth def. Akira Tozawa and Drew Gulak - Before this match, they had all of these guys win the 24/7 title off of each other, and then immediately announced this triple threat. Odd. Truth is now 41 time 24/7 champion. Gulak and Tozawa worked with each other and against each other for the whole match. Truth hit Gulak with the Attitude Adjustment to win which popped me.

So, let me explain why the draft timing is bad.
Hell in a Cell is Oct. 25. The draft is Oct. 9 and Oct. 12. That leaves very little time between that Monday’s draft to Hell in a Cell. Why can’t they just let Hell in a Cell decisively end feuds, and then do the draft? Makes me think not much drafting is going to happen and we’ll still see Rollins and Mysterios and Andrade/Garza and Street Profits when Garza returns. And holy shit get Apollo and Ricochet away from The Hurt Business. It’s been done to death, revived, and killed again. We’re in for a wild October

WWE NXT REVIEWS RECAPS AND REACTIONS

Face to Face
Shawn Michaels mediated the face to face between Kyle O’Reilly and Finn Bálor, though he was pretty much in the background.
It was a sit down where both men blew some smoke up the other’s arse before discussing why they’d win. Much of it focused on Kyle O’Reilly being an “underdog” (something neither man bought too much into). It also concerned whether Kyle would leave the Undisputed ERA in the back on Sunday, and while he alluded that he would, he may as well have told the ERA to stand back and stand by.
Kyle may be playing more a babyface, but he was the cocky one here, even more than the man who holds the title. That makes sense though. That’s been his personality his entire tenure in NXT. It’s not suddenly going to change.
O’Reilly’s natural charm came through while he fought against the underdog label. He did some accents even. He’s taking this seriously but he has a way about him that’s also light about things.
None of that shook Finn’s uber confidence. He knows who he is and isn’t going to be rattled by KOR.
This didn’t add too much to the match, but it was a good contrast of character between both men. I was already excited for this championship match. This gave us a little personality to help sell it.

Defending Honor
Undisputed ERA looks to still be strong... probably.
In fact, when Austin Theory talked some trash about Kyle O’Reilly in a backstage interview, Adam Cole marched to the ring and called him out to take a beating for his words.
It led to a match and while Theory had his moments and a couple nearfalls, it was Cole’s to lose. He didn’t. Adam put another L in Theory’s record book (he’s been wracking those up at quite the clip lately). Afterwards, he looked at the camera and put over the fact that Kyle O’Reilly is more than ready for the title.
It’s an interesting wrinkle, but that’s because many including myself assume Undisputed is going to feud with each other. But right now they’re all very supportive. That was shown here and in the very good Prime Target video about Kyle O’Reilly earlier.
But the other side of that is maybe it’s too blatant. Maybe they’re too supportive. They hit us over the head with how supportive Adam Cole is. Could that be choreographing betrayal on Sunday?

Mixed Main
The main even was a mixed tag between Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae against Damian Priest and Io Shirai. It represents two title feuds on Sunday’s show.
While there’s isn’t too much of note to say about it, it was a fun match. Priest and Shirai meshed very well together, showing good chemistry and even featuring some double team maneuvers. Plus, their looks go together as they’re both supposed to be somewhat metal champions.
The Garganos were one step ahead though. It was Candice’s low blow to the Archer of Infamy that allowed Johnny to deliver One Final Beat for the win. Mr. & Mrs. Wrestling stood tall at the end.
That’s not surprising because there’s little chance either of them stands tall on Sunday. So we got a little reverse momentum here to make them seem like a threat.

Lost Asset
Dakota Kai’s fates continued to be tied into Raquel González. It looked like she would pick up a win against the fast rising Shotzi Blackheart when Raquel tripped Shotzi up to give Dakota the advantage.
But then Rhea Ripley, who has issues with González, came out to try to even the score. Rhea was eventually held back by the officials, but it gave Blackheart enough time to recover from Raquel’s interference (and a nasty looking apron bump) to avoid Kai’s corner kick and score a roll up victory.
I’m getting excited for Rhea vs. Raquel. Despite González mainly working as a bodyguard or the occasional tag with Dakota Kai, they’ve done a good job building her as a force that can collide with Ripley.

Stepping Stones to the Moon
Cameron Grimes continues to own the role as arrogant, shithead heel.
After failing to win in the Gauntlet Eliminator last week, he made his own match (The Cameron Grimes Invitational Stepping Stones to the Moon Match) where he could beat up some undersized enhancement guys. But that didn’t go too well.
He beat the first entrant “Joey Pistachio”, who was in the 80 pound weight class - to give you an idea of the caliber of talent. But the second entrant was taken out by Brick S***house Ridge Holland, who then aggressively took out Grimes.
Cameron is the type of heel who can take a beating like this and not be hurt at all. He can come out, cut another excuse ridden promo, and be fine. I’m more curious about him actually having a match with Holland. I can’t imagine he could get that tree trunk of a man down with a Cave In, but I’m excited to see him try... and probably fail.

All the Rest:
- Kushida aggressively defeated Tony Nese in our reminder that Tony Nese is still around. After his win, Velveteen Dream popped up on the big screen. Velveteen stated that under the bright lights, he shines the most. It was all pretty basic stuff, though I’m enjoying aggressive Kushy.

- The Cruiserweight title participants had a split screen video promo where Isaiah “Swerve” Scott showed his frustration with Santos Escobar’s dirty tricks and reminded us all he is the only man who has pinned him. Meanwhile, Escobar responded while relaxing in his nice chair like he was in a vodka commercial. Point: Santos.

- Kayden Carter defeated Xia Li, who has been less gracious as of late. Once again, she refused to shake hands after the match, shoving both Carter and her tag team partner Kacy Catanzaro aside. So far, her new attitude hasn’t earned her any wins.

This is one of those shows where there was nothing bad, but didn’t feel like there was really much of note. That’s a bit disappointing for a go home show, though with the fast build and having to audible due to COVID and injuries, it’s understandable. It still made for a somewhat lackluster go home

WWE Smackdown reviews recaps and reactions

The great storytelling continues.
I absolutely love that Reigns just puts his hand out and commands Heyman to give him the microphone.
Roman Reigns decided that he doesn’t want to be referred to as the tribal chief - because Jey Uso didn’t refer to him as the tribal chief. Jey came down all bandaged up and said that his spirit wasn’t broken, and if Jimmy didn’t throw the towel in, the title would be his.
Roman called Clash of Champions the worst night of his life. He was trying to do Jey a favor! All he wanted to do was put him in the main event, put his name in the marquee, give him a huge payday and let him do something nice for his wife and his kids. He said he loves Jey, even more than his brother does. He’s day one, he’s been there his whole life.
Jey disrespected him, embarrassed their whole family, and he broke Roman’s heart. But Jey was focused on the Universal title still, and Roman noticed.
Roman just decided that they’ll go at it again at Hell in a Cell. I’m totally fine with this. I love this feud and it’s such a total 180 from the last Universal title feud. It captivates me. I’m wondering what the stakes are that Roman was referring to. That sinister smile on his face when Jey accepted his match at Hell in a Cell. Evil.
I thought it was interesting that Jey said that Jimmy cost him the title. That could be a sign come Hell in a Cell. Bring the whole damn bloodline out and make it extra special. I’ve rarely been into a feud like this so I hope WWE doesn’t mess it up.

Coming for the title
Sasha came out and asked Bayley if she really thought her not being medically cleared was going to stop her from the beat down at Clash of Champions. Bayley is nothing but a coward that needed her time and time again to keep her title.
She used her to become the longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion in history. She knows Bayley isn’t at the show because she’s scared of her, but next week they’re going to have a match for the title.
Sasha takes her neck brace off and sold the drama of next week so well.
Sasha’s acting is top notch (she was picked for season 2 of The Mandalorian after all!) and there isn’t anything negative to take away from this.
Doing the title match next week on the draft show is certainly an interesting idea. It definitely makes me think that one of them will be drafted to Raw, and that’s exactly what this feud needs.

Cleansed
Kevin Owens succumbed to The Fiend, and the Fiend officially gained a new partner.
Owens brought Alexa Bliss out and asked about her change in attitude and says it reminds him of what he’s seeing in Aleister Black. Owens said she used to be cheery, and she replied by saying people change and maybe he should try it sometime. He admitted to doing a lot of terrible things in his career, but tonight isn’t about him, it’s about her.
Alexa said people will fear what they don’t understand and asked him if he’s ever met Him before. You go all pins and needles around Him and it feels like he’s looking through you and you can’t look away. Owens said she’s been brainwashed, and Alexa agreed! Her brain has been washed and now she sees the truth. Bliss said He’s everywhere and she can hear Him now, and that Owens should let Him in.
The lights go down and Owens is in a Mandible claw! He choked out Owens and turned to Alexa, sitting in the chair. She slowly rose and grabbed his hand, smiling at the camera. (The camera missed most of the smiling angry)
is Alexa killing it in this new role or what? This was great. Almost looks like maybe she’ll be able to control the Fiend if she chooses to do so, which was a contrast to their first meet up.
Now the biggest concern - next week Fiend and Owens will be facing each other for the Fiend’s first ever television match. Is… Owens going to be affected like all his other opponents not named Bill Goldberg?

Sami Zayn def. Jeff Hardy - Sami started to street fight Jeff in the beginning, but when Jeff got the better of him he had to duck out of the ring. Sami almost drove Jeff into one of the turnbuckles, and the top padding suddenly wasn’t there. They played back footage from the commercial where Sami took it off and threw it away. Uh… no one saw that during a break?
After a really smooth superplex from the top rope, Jeff countered a Blue Thunderbomb and Sami kicked out at 2.9! I actually thought it was over. Sami was able to knock Jeff off the top rope and into the exposed turnbuckle face first for the win. I had thought that it was going to swerve on him and he would lose, and I’m very happy to see that wasn’t the case.

Jey Uso def. AJ Styles - This was an interesting moment after Jey’s encounter with Reigns. I wouldn’t have liked to see Jey in a match so quickly after the hellacious beatdown at Clash of Champions. Jey went for a splash and Styles got his knees up, but when Styles was going for the Phenomenal Forearm, Jey kicked the ropes and made him lose his footing. Styles sold the superkick really well and fell to a big splash from Jey.
Knocking off a former world champion in Styles is a great look for Jey Uso. I don’t think they’ve ever faced each other either and it made for quite a fresh match up. It’ll be interesting to see if Styles ends up going to Raw in the draft.

Matt Riddle and Lucha House Party def. King Corbin and The Artists - What a god awful promo from Matt Riddle before this match.Kalisto was absent from the promo and most of the match, but he came out later and ended up kicking Lince Dorado in the face “by accident” Lince had done a stunner that Nakamura needed to help him with.
Cesaro hit a nasty uppercut to Riddle and he sold that really well, but after everyone broke down, Cesaro fell to the “Bro Derek”. That is just… no. Good grief. After, Riddle tried getting in between Kalisto and Dorado’s latest pushing match and then they just decided to cut away from it.

Carmella returned - She told us that she is no longer our Princess and that she’s untouchable, basically whenever she decides to be untouchable. I missed her, so this was a welcome sight. I’d like to see her drafted to Raw because I’d like to see her involved with Asuka. Also she’s not really been on Raw since coming to the main roster. Changes are always welcome.

Sheamus def. Chad Gable - Welcome back, Gable. Sorry bro

Otis def. John Morrison - This happened. Otis is representing himself in court in the Miz/Otis legal battle next week. Whatever.

More hits than misses on this show. The main three programs are delightful and the new addition of Kevin Owens to this Fiend/Alexa storyline is fun. Otis, Miz and Morrison, Gable, Riddle, Corbin, and Kalisto and Lince are buckets of meh
