I just updated my device. Now my full screen gestures are not working. Can't multitask by going to the recent screen section. Even just sliding up to go to the home screen crashes the system launcher and brings up the option of sending a report.

The only way I can multitask now is sliding on the pill bar to switch between apps. Which is not feasible when you have a ton of apps in the background.

How to manually update..

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 10 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process

Looks good. Hopefully the bug will be fixed in the MiUI 12 update. The last time a few people had the earpiece issue was before 11.0.9.

There's no OS without a few bugs. First batch of Note 9s users had a battery bug that was fixed with an update. Reflash the ROM, wait for an update or sell the phone.

This is MIUI 11 and you aren't losing any file. If the problem persists it should be fixed in the next update.
