Odunayaw: Story... Na gra gra una sabi na make BH boys Dae waste our brothers and sisters for NE like chicken. Nigerian soldiers are trained to flex muscles for innocent civilians. Their mindset is that a new recruit's training is to decivilise him and turn him to one ugly gun wielding thing. Many things are lacking in the training y'all receive. Technicality--Zero Tactical training - 2/100 Mordern day combat - 7/100. Na for road army get level but if war whistle blow between small Ghana and NA Na just gun and inshallah we get for Nigeria. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Stormtrooper11: I had to check if you were the one I quoted but it turned out you're not. You're obviously from NA and want to defend them but it's baseless. I'm not shading anybody but this is the 2020 where foreign countries even some African countries are making milestone efforts to train their soldiers so they can defend both themselves and country but my countries prefers siting on the heads of it's recruits as modern day training. Go on. 10 Likes 1 Share |

FirstSon01:Firstly,its a forum anybody can reply anybody. 'Sitting on the head' is usually used on erring cadets.its a form of punishment.in terms of training of cadets, the academy is doing well on conventional warfare training, but we still have a lot to do.our problem seems to be COIN training.it seems we haven't fully adapt to it and no thanks to fifth columnists. 2 Likes |

Stormtrooper11: The pusihment seems a bit too extreme. I tried it once and couldn't balance. They should get better quick cause I intend to join the army as a medic (doctor) but that training made me change mind to just chill with doing morning ward rounds than morning drill rounds What's COIN?? |

#PressRelease #DHQUpdate OPERATION HAIL STORM 2: SCORES OF TERRORISTS KILLED BY AIR TASK FORCE OF OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE IN LAKE CHAD AREA OF BORNO STATE 1. Several terrorists have been neutralized and their hideouts and logistics structures destroyed by the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE at Tumbuma Baba, one of the Island settlements on the fringes of the Lake Chad in Borno State, which serves as a logistics hub for Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) elements. This was achieved in air strikes executed on 29 September 2020 under the ongoing subsidiary Operation HAIL STORM 2 after Human Intelligence (HUMINT) reports indicated that several ISWAP fighters and some of their leaders had converged in some structures concealed under the thick vegetation of the area, preparing to launch an attack. 2. The ATF therefore dispatched a force package of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets and helicopter gunships to engage the location. The attack aircraft scored devastating hits on the settlement, killing several terrorists and destroying their structures. 3. The Armed Forces of Nigeria, operating in concert with other security agencies and stakeholders, will sustain its efforts to rid the North East zone of all terrorists and other criminal elements. Litmus: Good thought line... but ceding a third of your country to prove a point at civility can work to diminish your influence. Even western countries with more radical succession campaigns are yet to heed to such, take the case of the UK for example. The present crop of Ghanaian leaders have shown poor understanding of West African Corporate diplomacy. Pitching tents against Nigeria has never worked for any West African country and Ghana has actively pursued this objective... Only time would tell for how well it will play out on their behalf. 1 Like |

He's supposed to be handed over to the police for investigation an arraignment. Or will that be done after the Army is through with him?? Also why is he "unnamed"?? 1 Like |

FirstSon01: His a military personnel, he will face a court-Marshal first. Then it will be decided by the court marshal to spend the jail term in military prison or handed over to the police. That’s the way it’s been done in the military even if it’s a murder case. |

I was going through this thread and i was seeing people saying something about ajebutter cadet, well Sha i promised myself never to insult anyone online because you don't know who is who and who can help you..... I created this account because i just want to be anonymous, used the moniker redemption because i want to redeem myself, I've been on nairaland for 7days, I'm very popular in military threads(admission process), odunayaw na my guy but i can't let him Know I'm no longer a cadet because it'll break his heart, some guys here know me, I'm not an ajebutter , is there anything like ajebutter in nda? Some Nigerians ehn. Firstly, lemme talk about the admission process because most Nigerians think nda is just for the rich or people with connection that's why that guy with the moniker said I'm an ajebutter cadet, please if you know anybody that wants to get into nda as a regular combatant and doesn't have anybody, like poor man pikin, just tell the person to read all the pages from the the beginning to end of that nda thread here on nairaland, I'll look for the link and drop, the person will become a guru on admission process because it really helped me. As long as you're medically fit , if you go through that thread and you don't get nda on your first or at most second attempt then you're very dull, you don't need any stupid God father before you enter but if you have it's an added advantage, I'm just saying these because many Nigerians think nda is all about connection. If your father is dangote and you're a cadet, yeah you might be an ajebutter but there's nothing like ajebutter in nda, there's no special treatment, the only thing that can help you if your family is very rich is that you'll be Packard(sharp) you'll have many Kaya, you'll wear correct boot and they might look for a strong roommate that will be able to protect you once in awhile but e no mean say u no go warm your pot Another person was saying there's no officer here, well Sha that's a lie because I know death machine was a major, him supposed even hang Lt.col this year or next, I know seriousblack was a member of 58rc, there's another guy donbobes though he's dead, he used to come here once in a blue moon, Captain Stephen too is an officer, I've met one officer from this thread,I met him at kaduna though he's now overseas, officers do come here once once. One guy been dey talk say people no supposed complain say I dey write about academy, truth is that academy doesn't even give a shit if you write about them, it's Just that some officers no dey like make people know about what they passed through. Martin Luther Agwai wrote about his academy experience, how the training was, he called names oo, even game details about his camp intial and camp highland, why didn't the military say he was leaking secrets? Funnily enough this is book is in a academy library, he was already retired when he wrote the book Sha, he was my co-bat 14 Likes |

Before I continue my story , i just want you guys to Know that some officers dey woo female cadets, if you don't believe it's your business but if you're a cadet and you're caught pregnant then ofe! You're going to your fathers house, some people here do see officers as gods but the truth is that me I've already zeroed my mind, officers do live fake life, I mean army officers, they don't have anything, some get Sha but most junior officers don't have, they'll go and collect loan and buy ride and you'll think they have, I'll never advice my friend to join the army, you'll suffer like bastard, they'll use your blood, you'll regret it later on, join navy or naf and see shayi. Back to the story, commandant banged fire alarm, he warned cadets about going to town, after the baba left, cadets that missed the fire alarm were told to come and cancel their names before 18:00, you that went before that 18:00 you'll be safe but if you didn't cancel your name that means you were not in the academy that day and you'll be charged.. I was among those that missed the fire alarm, i didn't miss the fire alarm because i was in town, i was inside academy, commandant banged the fire alarm immediately after A branch, that's @ 14:00, i left class that day by 13:00, i wanted to go and charge through bush, cadets love charging through, that day i was trying to hide so that my culprit won't see me, I had a 4th termer culprit, he's a sergeant so anytime i see him i do thin out(escape),that day i thined out so i could go follow bush because if you're caught using the normal route when it's not yet time then you'll buy job not only for yourself but your whole coursemates.... I got to my battalion before 14:00 but could not enter because cadets were still at A branch,I had to mark time(wait) but it took them long before they entered lines(hostel), i was surprised Sha, when i entered my room i asked my clonws what happened and he said commandant banged fire alarm. Oboy ! Fear catch me oo,but i heard that they said we should come and cancel our names before 18:00hrs, i just helped my pip, my future 1 fat star, carried my anti plant and started open dashing to meet RSM, in academy they have cadet RSM and battalion RSM, battalion RSM is an Oscar(soldier) rank of staff sergeant, cdt RSM works with him, fear no gree me to go and meet cdt RSM because he'll nearly take my life, cdt RSM is supposed to be a 5th termer but 5th termers were in jaji so it was 4th termers that had academy that time and your worst nightmare will be your immediate senior. I met battalion RSM , we were like 9 that missed the fire alarm, battalion RSM wan kill us with swapap(tree branch), my battalion adjutant came, he carried hockey stick and started massaging us, he didn't give us shayi, CO too came, he told us to sit on out pot(head), he said he'll he's Ronaldo and he was going to kick our pot so that psg would sign him, baba started killing us oo, he was wearing boots oo, after everything Sha they handed us to 4th termers, those guys started watering us, they had skills, they were water benders, oboy! See as man dey cry 10 Likes |
