Wike came over to intervene and appealed to the leadership of the pdp at the state level, that what they stand to gain is more than money, should they allow obaseki contest under their party. Wike left for port Harcourt out of anger as the aspirant in the NA said he would go to court, should obaseki refuse to do his bidding. It took the intervention of other co-aspirants for the guy to mellow down.
