Darego first came to my attention when I was surfing the net and her name kept poping up on various sites, mainly forums where I went looking for models and celebrities pics. I had no idea she was Nigerian and I was only vaguely awear miss world was taking place. It appeared that some form of voting was talking place whereby the world could vote for the miss world contestants of their choice. All the Brazilian sites and south America sites , people were saying that this Darego was the most beautiful contestant and deserved to win. I thought Darego was yet another of those South Americans from Venezuela or someplace that are always winning these beauty paegents. Especially since the South Americans were praising her and so on. I didn't bother looking her up. I only found out she was Nigerian on Odili net.

So, I guess I'm saying that Darego was considered the best by so many around the world. For me, Darego is among the top ten miss world of all time. My guess is that those responsible for labelling her the ugliest miss world of all time are Indians or your African brothers from Ghana and such places. The reason I pick Indians is because they are the ones, if you research, that are obsessed with miss world pageants and are forever ranking them and placing that Ashiria Rhy or whatever her name is as the best ever. Through such Indian polls and efforts, it is not surprising that what they say in the matter gradually becomes part of everyday norm. Eventually their opinions make its way into official documents, records and general acceptance.
