Rule number 1: Never look down on yourself or anyone

Number 2: You need to stay strong don’t think negatively

Don’t try gambling you may end up regretting your life just make sure you help your mum with her business and don’t see anyone as an oppressor in school or neighborhood.

Take care of your mom and her business and be prayerful.

Dust up and move. Life ain't easy. I trained myself in school doing concrete and block works. There's basically nothing I didn't do to make ends meet. When you know you have nobody to help you, you will have no other option than to hustle for yourself. And, pls keep believing

My advice? Don't lose hope, dust up and move.

I've created a lot of thread amassing a lot of participation ,my older account has over 2000 likes and as you can see I'm soliciting for help.
I'm just ashamed and wouldn't want to use my old account.

I have been on this forum for close to 4 years
But I spent 2 years as a guest before registering in 2018

Your first problem is inferiority complex. Emancipate yourself from mental slavery......

You will go as far as you can see. I know of a doctor today in fact a Chief consultant now who told me throughout her uni she had less than 3 clothes. My mum even said the day she went to greet her at OOU she burst into years seeing her little sister with cloth patched in obvious angles with different thread and needle colour. Today she's doing real fine can't Even know she went through shit unless she's trying to advise struggling youths or myself when I misbehave. Lots of sons stories that ended up glorious. Its all in the head.

You said you don't understand but you seem to have given a very good explanation.

Try your hand at writing and publishing. It's a good way to make a passive income, and it seems you have writing skills that can be honed.

You need money to make money. How much do you have currently that you're willing to invest in your future? Find someone doing well and approach them to mentor you. No man can make it alone, and you're better off having someone there to guide you.

grin grin grin

Or you can beg for help on Nairaland. I heard some people are making fifty to hundred gees, tax-free, from begging.

Good luck.

This is a normal phase of life that will pass away.

I remember waking up every morning during my early twenties asking God what my direction was as I already saw myself a failure.

Please be a good guy, face your work and or studies.

This soon shall pass away.

My best advice. Learn a skill or an handiwork that is lucrative, trust me everything u are thinking rn is all in ur head. never compare urself with anybody. Always strive to be better than ur previous. Accept and embrace change whether good or bad but always look at being better than ur previous self. It takes consistency and getting the right opportunity to kick u started from ur financial debacle. I pray God deliver your mum from any form of ailment she is experiencing. Don’t worry, take every thing life throws at u but never get ur heads down. Tough times would never last but tough people do.

Let go of the apprehension. Many of us are going thru worse times. Times are hard. Don't be envious of those who use trendy clothes or flashy phones today. Tomorrow, those will be rags.
Importantly, make good friends. in times of difficulty good friends will always get your back.

This is the kind of case we get when poor parents can't keep their sexual organ to themselves.

Your parents are your problems, you are an undergraduate, you should be dependent on your parents.

Re: Life by Nobody: 1:42pm On Oct 04, 2020
Be serious with your studies try as much as possible to be the best.
I knew guys who wore one cloth, couldn't afford a hostel always squatting in one room or the other but they try as much as possible not to make their education suffer, the end up coming out with a first class and a sharp 2.1 as I speak they are all big boys.
School isn't a scam if you study a professional course and also come with a very good grade.

Hey,

I read your post with keen interest. I will advice you as a fellow youth, within the same age bracket.
You sound totally worried in the inside, but hey, never give up. Giving up is not an option.. never be a looser by conceding defeat.

I will advice you to just hustle, get a skill and sell yourself. This is exactly what so many youths of same age bracket pass through. You said you are a young undergraduate. If you school in a government owned university, I will advice you to go and learn how to produce snacks. You can download video tutorials from YouTube or meet people who are willing to teach you. HUNGER NO FIT KILL STUDENTS. Meet people who sell drinks and minerals in and within the school premises, talk with them and see how you can supply them. I know of a guy in a Federal University in the East, all he does is prepare peanuts, meat pie, and many more, delivers them to people who sell on a daily basis. This dude just bought a bicycle from that and he is still delivering, taking care of himself and fees. You can even prepare and deliver to your mum to sell for you in her shop and give account to you.

If you're good in writing, you can write and sell. Just don't be entrapped within your own confinement. Come out and mingle, other students will tell you legit hustles that they do to get little money on a daily basis and look for any one that suits you.

But never forget the main purpose for you being in school.. Find time and read. Follow your passion and God will bless you. Success comes with a story..

DO NOT LET YOUR STORY DEFINE YOUR SUCCESS NEGATIVELY
