It's a shame our opinions on the subject of #endsars are divergent but it doesn't render me daft or my previous comments void.
I think you must be pseudo liberal to have loved my comments in the past , I'm liberal as well and that's a good thing.
I have moved around few Nigerian cities and I have been stopped for thorough search few times but I have never been shot , slapped or harassed.
I only hear about SARS brutality against innocent and calm people on Social media.
I do not keep a low cut, I will draw tattoos later in Life, I wear rugged jeans and baseball shoes or maybe it's because I'm not currently using an iPhone .
Now why I think you think I'm daft and why you should not conclude hastily:

The only people who have extorted me on the streets are Cultists . After a friend I visited around 5pm saw me off around 6pm and I was about to board a tricycle , heavily bearded men numbering 6 pushed the Keke to stop and brought me down. They said I was wearing a "wrong" colour for my Polo and sneakers. They held my phone and the necklace on my neck.

I knelt to beg because the necklace was my mum's costliest jewelry, pure gold with fragments of other precious stones (I borrowed it without telling her). I even told them I'm orphaned and my uncles will send me to prison. Since they were mostly drunks they told me to buy a drink 5000 for each of them. I called my friend I visited, who was surprised I didn't reach home and he brought 30,000 naira from home. They let me go and warned me never to wear those colours again. I repaid my friend through bank transfer the next day. That's why I started driving so that I would drive into a compound I visit and speed out when I'm done without harassment.
Since I started driving and obviously still swagging SARS have not extorted me up to 10,000 naira cumulatively. They've told me to come down and open the boot of the car, they have asked me for particulars and other details which I showed and informed them that I was running errands for my parents who own the car. The money I gave them was always 500 or 1000 naira to drink beer.
Endsars started trending and it was the celebrities who openly show the cults that they are affiliated with and their followers that were spearheading the movement. What about the #endcultism and fraud movement. Is it not what SARS people are fighting practically without social media support?

If you were in my shoes what would be your verdict?
If this very event which has turned out to be false as reported was distorted earlier by those who first reported it , why should I believe that most criminals don't also distort facts to paint SARS as bad?

My comment was based on my reality not herd mentality.

It is those ones with red, green and yellow hair that always want to prove they are stubborn, they are the ones that get harrassed by sar, apparently they are not smart.

Infact we should not pretend that many youths dont do fraud, if parents train their children well, there will be less fraud in society and Sar wont harrass anyone.

depends on when and how u are approached, Sars is the worst thing u will wish your enemy to encounter.. I remember when I was in school, they raided my hostel, all the Gees had left and other innocent guys were packed ( they were actually cooking beans ni o) my roommate was among ( he's a MFM member).. las las they were forced to write false statement and each paid 10k.. they were 5 in numbers.i went to afternoon class that day.. my roomie was crying like a baby... that one no mean say dem no sleep behind bar till the following morning o..

Worst time to encounter sars na night most especially for corner place .. and I remember the day I was coming from Lagos, I touched down at iwo road and I was dusting my pants.. oboy naso dem approach me oo, my phone self was dead na so the officer say him go go charge am ( mehn I shocked), he carry the one go one kiosk that one talk say no space ( this thing happened at old ife road iwo road).. las las he said I'm a yahoo boy, I denied , he said " so u one dey claim your right abi, answer me nah!, I dey lie?" I no dey argue naso other officer come land me correct slap.. I shout wetin nah.. naso the officer ( the one that slapped) said make I cooperate or else " u go regret waking up today" .. oboy I begged tire.. I had to call my friend wey dey work for ibr to borrow 10k urgently , naso I settle dem and dem begin dey laugh me.. i one cry that day.. ( dem first type 100k for him small phone as my bail ,I said officer kuku kill me today )

Sorry for your experience.

Maybe the State or Town matters. 18 year old boys in Abuja drive luxury cars and use expensive gadgets and you rarely hear about SARS harassment there . MOSTLY DELTA / EDO region.

I would never experience such because I would never run from SARS. If your brother and his friends were innocent then why run? If you read one of my posts, they stopped me with my wife who is foreign and looks foreign. They suspected me of being a Yahoo boy and I had to prove I wasn't one politely and they let me go without drama. These Yahoo boys are always aggressive to the men of the law trying to prove like they made their money legitimately but can't prove the source. SARS is here to stay and I support them 100%.
