Hi Guys hope you guys are staying safe and trust you are doing well. Corona has taught us an important lesson. learn to live your best life. Whoever thought we would be locked in for months? Epe has always been on my mind, so I decided to visit the beautiful city of Epe. I must admit travelling has changed my perspective about a lot of places in Lagos. I have visited over 90 per cent of the tourist attractions in Lagos. This city is really beautiful and full of adventure, provided you know the right place to visit. So I set out on a 4 hour journey to the City of Epe. It is one of the longest journey I have ever engaged in Lagos coupled with the bad roads it wasn't a pleasing journey. But on getting to Epe everything changed. I must commend the ex Governor of Lagos Ambode for the great work he did. Our first point of contact was the legendary Sungbo Erede, legend has it that it was a city built by the former wife of Solomon Queen sheba, though this can not be verified well I decided to visit this monument which radio carbon date confirmed to be older than the pyramid of Gaza. I must really apologize I got carried away and didn't take lots of pictures, it rained and I couldn't risk my camera, so here are few pictures I managed to put together. Lastly the place is a thick forest and we had to struggle through the path. So enjoy these pictures Source https://www.travelwaka.com/ 10 Likes 1 Share

Then We left Sungbo Eredo to the Biggest Fish Market In Lagos located in Epe. This market is one of a kind. You will find almost any kind of fish here and different kind of bush meat like antelops, bush rats etc. I went deep into the river where the fish are sold in wholesale. If you must visit this market, make sure you act like a local so they do not give you tourist price. https://www.travelwaka.com/epe-fish-market-the-biggest-fish-market-in-lagos/ 17 Likes 4 Shares

If you are a lover of snakes like Lalasticlala , you will get different kinds of snakes like pythons, cobra etc. You can also get crocodile . I saw fresh snakes and live crocodiles - I am sure that animal right activists would not love this place. 40 Likes 2 Shares

After animal protein shopping at the Epe fish market then its time to relax, and we visited the Jubilee resort owned by the Lagos State Government. It is one of the most beautiful resorts I have seen in Lagos. It is beautiful and located in front of the Lagos Lagoon. Epe is truly a beautiful destination that is under rated. https://www.travelwaka.com/jubilee-chalets-epe-a-beautiful-destination-in-lagos/ 21 Likes 1 Share

Epe is a lovely and beautiful place, especially with the road network within the town, Ambode really tried in constructing the roads. 10 Likes |

Sparogatively, I would love to go on a getaway soonest, but business is telling me "can you risk it¿" Even right now, what I'm thinking about is the amount of money one could make from this jungle in the island. For Nigeria na Work before pleasure be the watchword if you no wan jeopardize your destiny and your generation own join. |
