How Can I Deny Whatsapp Data Connection On My Phone ? by Nobody: 7:55pm On Oct 05, 2020

Please how can I prevent whatsapp from getting internet connection until I open it myself?
I don't want any message to deliver until I decide to open the app myself. I have tried restricting background data for it but I am still receiving messages.
I don't need third party app.

Please help me guys.

After restricting background data, force stop the app.
Turn on your phone's data saver, and ensure WhatsApp isn't allowed to use data while data saver is on.

Do I have to always force stop it after opening the app?

If you're on MiUI, you can restrict data usage for each app easily

I did that but was still getting messages.

Uncheck SIM 1, 2 and WiFi and touch "ok"

Just observe it first, if it returns back to the original state, then you'll have to stick with the force stop.

It still didn't work bro. Messages started pouring in after about an hour. I didn't open the app O.
Don't know what else to do

Save yourself and download yoWhatsApp. Comes with flight mode to turn off receiving messages even while the app is running with data on.

This is the first way follow these steps.

To stop WhatsApp from hogging your mobile data:
Go to your phone settings (under the general Android settings) >> Apps>> Open list of Apps>>Select WhatsApp. Then click on 'Force stop'. Then disable 'Background data' (inside Data option) and finally, revoke all app permissions for WhatsApp.

And the second way you can prevent WhatsApp from using the internet by using this YOWhatsapp Apk modified version. hope this is helpful to you.
