Mhen with hype that proceeded Redmi, I'm just disappointed with this phone honestly, I'm not even an heavy user, I don't play games have less than twelve installed apps yet the phone goes blank, what more, I never meet apps the way I left them. Redmi 9A is shit. Even my Coolpad performed better.

But according to your last post, you are coming from a budget Samsung device and not a flagship Samsung device so am wondering what could be so special regarding typing speed on your A30. Maybe MIUI is not your thing, happy sales.

Redmi 9a is an entry level device, I really don't understand what people expect from a 2gb ram phone in 2020. That phone at best is good as a secondary phone or for someone transitioning into android ecosystem. Lower your expectations for an entry level device. What do you mean by going blank?

It freezes with the backlight on, just white background.
Even calls sometimes ring like notification

The earlier the better, switch off, drop the phone in Rice once you get home.

Thanks

Ringtone is yours to change what was running when the phone freezes?

Man I've used 512mb, 1gb, 2gb, and 3gb ram phones. None of the 2gb ram phones I used gave me these issues.
While typing this, the phone froze twice.

What are the Twelve apps? I hope those don't include FB (not lite), Twitter (not lite), Instagram and Snapchat whilst keeping 40 tabs open in chrome?

It's a basic/ entry level device. It's best as a secondary phone or for first time smartphone owners. If you wanted to enjoy the "hype that proceeded the Redmi", why didn't you get the hyped devices and not the bare bones version?

It's like buying the iPhone SE to enjoy the iPhone 11 Pro experience. No way that's possible my good sir.

P.S For the sake of comparison, what was the Coolpad you were using and how much did you purchase the 9a?

Drop the about section of your device and your installed apps. You could have an app heavy on background process installed. It's a 2GB RAM devices. Multitasking will be limited

I meant calls will not appear on the screen for you to swipe or press accept to receive, it will just be ringing in the notification panel and I won't be to pick it. It went blank now while typing I just couldn't screenshot.

Guys, please phone can I buy with a budget of 160k naira? Recommend a good phone for me please. I know there is no phone that can be compared to iPhone but I need something close. Thanks

Don't you have to start from which kind of device you need and then finding out which one of your choices is in your price bracket

True, there's no phone like the iPhone... But There's also no phone like the LG wing or Mi Mix Alpha. Being distinct doesn't mean a device is the best device for everyone

I'm not on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. I only use WhatsApp, telegram, mt5, zoom, block chain, Luno and about 4 other light weight apps on the phone

So I finally bought note 9 pro yesterday

Honestly, I'm so disappointed with the typing, I'm not getting my Samsung experience from the typing and it's really giving me headache.

Wish I had bought Samsung galaxy note 8.

Anyone wanna come pay for my note 9 pro (6GB & 128GB)
I wanna switch back to Samsung.

I love the camera and display but typing is just so difficult for me as its not responding fast to my typing.
yap that's one of the huge let down in redmi .. it's so slow and error prone..you got to stop and correct always even with auto correct ...I get you dude ...with time you get use to it .took me a while to get a use to it though 4x was better then compare with the redmi 8 ,note 7 and note 8

I once complain of this but the Xiaomi gods here who are kids resulted to insults

Which would be better to solve the issues, the update or the full ROM download?

Can't loose 22k in the space of 2days.

Can only do 100k last

How about I wait and price you 90k in 2 weeks time ?

Rigel95:

Download full ROM and install.

https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.0.5.0.QCDMIXM/miui_DANDELIONGlobal_V12.0.5.0.QCDMIXM_7d5800d303_10.0.zip

How to manually update..

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 12 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 12 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process

That's the new android 10 feature called dialer headsUp.

You may not know the difference but as a user of both phones, I'm telling you there's huge difference in the typing.

Maybe if you hold both phones, you will be able to tell.

Are both devices of the same screen size and aspect ratio?

For example, I moved from a 5.5"(Smart 2 Pro) device to 6.67" (Note 9s) obviously it took a little while for me to get adjusted to the new screen size. You've not used the device for a week at least for your fingers to adjust to it. That's why you're having this issue tbh.

You could always use swipe input or reduce the keyboard size...like in the ss below.

They way you guys assume that others have never used Samsung is amusing. Like you know our device history. If we are to talk phones used you will be amazed.

Xiaomi Mi 10, is worth the value for its money.
One can't get a mi 10 for 160k, not even a k30 pro for that amount.
