yeah 2.2 is accepted, you need to present a very good motivation letter to express your motivation in the chosen course.

Many school do not require this certificate (am sure) during my search only university of upper austria made it mandatory.
Just check the requirements. It varies from school to school.

If you are willing to travel to Austria for student visa, read the following guidelines carefully. I am writing from experience and i promised to make it easy for anyone coming after me.

1.Findin schools and getting admission

a. Use google to check for schools and courses.
Check the admission requirements of ur course.
There are so many english taught courses

b.. Email the course cordinator of the course with ur documents and ask him/her ur chances of getting admission. Do not waste money on DHL if you are not sure of admission.

C. Apply officialy when u get a postive answer from the cordinator. Some schools require u legalise ur docs. because of covid19. Some wave it and ask u to send the originals to them. (Be very sure they will email ur school to verify if ur cert. And transcript are legit.)

D. If u finally get the admission letter, congratulatuons the journey have just entered stage 2.

2. Verification and legalisation of documents.

a. Assemble ur documents for verification and leaglisation. Weda u hv admission or not, u need this stage becos all documents for student permit or residence permit has to be legalised.
Documete needed are:

i. birth certificate. (If you are born after 1992 ur birth certificate fro hospotal will serve. If u arenborn before 1992. U need NPC birth certificate attached with age declaration and attestation from fedral high court.) VERY IMPORTANT--- the person standing for you must declare his or her own age and date of birth, and must be 5 years older than you. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT dont miss it.

ii certificate of origin from local government

iii school documents. (First school cert. Waec. Transcript, Bsc/BA. etc.). This depends on what the school needs.

b. Authentication of documents by Nigerian ministries. (Ministry of education and foreign afdairs)

i Ministry of education.
Register on https://ess.education.gov.ng/
Upload ur documents and get an appointment after u pay 250 per document upload. Go to Abuja with the documents u uploaded and hv them stamped and signed on (thats the authentication from MOE) go with ur payemt slip(printed out) because u will require a reciept.

I noticed that there are only few and many closed threads on the life, study , Visa requirement and processes for Austria. Is it that there are no Nigerian student over there? Please this thread is created for the purpose of enlightenment on the said topics.
I know a few of the process already. But people's personal experience will go along way to help those interested in following this path.

From what I have noticed the only cost inclusive part is the part of documents legalization and verification apart from that the rest is easy.

the documents you legalize are those required for your admission to university and those for your student visa.
The one for school e.g degree certificate, transcripts, waec etc are based on the school's requirements. Late for your interview some documents are required to be legalized as written on the checklist. It is adviced to apply for legalization for the documents visa and admission same time.
Abeg oga Nobody state the schools it will make it easy for the brave ones. All schools ask you to send them all your original certificate hard copy after legalization...so ridiculous


Some school allows you to apply then you go for legalization once accepted and send them later by Mai.

Most schools in Austria would want you to do your verification and legalization first before a proper admission letter would be issued.
I remember that the legalization and the verification which is a very thorough one, when I say thorough, I mean thorough cause the Lawyer would call everywhere that you listed every school and your siblings listed to verify that everything is genuine. I know it use to be One hundred and twenty thousand naira not sure of how much it is now since the exchange rate crash.

Nobody please stop saying this. How will you advise someone to spend 500-900k on a process without admission guaranteed. Nobody that has successfully done it will advise anyone to go on the stress. By the time you sum up the emvassy lawyer and Legalization fee is outrageous and 99% possibility, the sch will ask for additional doc. U will go back to legalize additional doc deu will ask for more money and u keep sending dhl. To the sch minimum of 3 times. The days austria process was fair was the daus of 120k lawyer fees i have personally done jobs for lots of person in Austria but now i can never do it numver one i can't conclude the jobs on time. If u must apply always apply to onlu jku linz and male sure u have a second upper still dey will not offer admission. Please @ nobody close this thread or everyone shd be encourage to try other countries...Belgium is better with their process
